A very strange hand

MTT I assume? Pretty gross spot anyway, I like it in the blinds if he's shoving enough hands. Roughly what range do you think he's shoving?

I think I was expecting him to shove 22+, any Ax or any two picture cards. I'm not sure whether or not this is a good call, hence why I posted it here. In this case it obviously was but I think that most of the time I could possibly be behind.

Sounds like a fold given your handranges. I think often we misjudge just how significant the whole "any Ax" part has on our equity with KJ. There are so many hands we're 60/40 against, and 2 picture cards isn't many combinations (although it is true, we dominate a lot of them). Pokerstove can help me illustrate this for you:

Now if he's going nuts with a lot of K8s-K9s hands, as well as a lot of other random trash then our situation starts looking better. And if we change our hand to simply A8o, which in our minds will often seem worse than KJo (our undervaluation of the hand has to do with playability, however playability is irrelevant for all-in preflop).......

his open shove just smells wrong,some days I call some days I fold.If they have been doing it a lot I call. What was it Barry G said " Math is idiotic" and sometimes it is.

maths is amazing here, there is absolutely nothing better than maths in this spot, maths is better than aces in this situation imo.
