This is a really tough spot. This looks like one of the many fish I see daily who once in a while find themselves sitting right on top of the heater. They just seem to hit anything they aim at!! With his stats obviously it looks like an easy call, but you're right to be cautious with the short stacks.
Am I right in thinking the blinds are 75/150 in your example? If so I think your initial min-raise was wrong here. With AKo OOP I think I would have just shoved here to eliminate any hard decisions like the one you've came up against. You've got a very strong hand and if he does call your shove with a lesser hand you should still be ahead.
It's a hard call on the bubble in this situation. The way I like to look at it is that if you shove your good hands and do get called by worse, if you're ahead of his range then it was the right move. Villains will get lucky with their worse hands once in a while but over a large sample of tourneys, you will come out ahead. If you go out by making the right play, so be it.
You need 67% eq, you dont have that with AK even if op shoves ATC.
@Buhas: if he shoves light, QQ should also be a call, that even if he shoves only 13-14%.
