just raise pre. I think limping on button 3handed is very weak. So you should raise pre for value, and for bluff. One protects another.

I would raised on turn, to get value from some draws or medium pairs. You're hand is very covered, so it might appear some kinda of bluff your re raise. That's my point.

Raise pre for value.
On turn raise is mandatory to get value from any kind of hand that lead on this board.
River 4x raising is good i doubt any hand that 2nd barreled would fold for 300 chips more.

Raising pre is superior to limping against any type of opponent.
You can get blinds uncontested which isn't bad and if called you are getting value while having initiative and playing in position.
If villains are aggressive and will come on top often with a 3-bet, you can value shove.
Either way with limping you are giving sb 5 to 1 to call and bb free flop, so only way to take the pot is actually hitting trips (again if you raised pre you would get more chips)

As it's the bubble i didn't really want to play a big pot against CO.Who was a calling station (PF). LAG (Post) Lets face it not many flops I'm going to like. And yes it's a conservative/weak play.
Turn I should have raised, but I was pretty sure he has a Ax, thought to bluff induce on the river. Now river is not the best card as it does complete a draw/not likely however. So I made a small value raise.

Does this make sense? Even if it's not the standard line.

Thanks Again

Hello again diversfx :)

I suppose CO is actually BB?

Anyway you are chip leader on the bubble you can take advantage of that.
He is very risk averse against you and even if he is not aware of the concept he intuitively knows that avoiding major confrontation against you is better with one much shorter stack. If you really aren't comfortable playing low pockets post flop limping for set value is not a mistake it's just inferior to raising.

With sb's Ax it wouldn't be really bluff inducing.
If you suspect he has Ax it's even more beneficial to get more value, your hand is well disguised it's very likely that you will be paid a lot of times.
What ever he is leading with on that kind of a board you really should try to get more value (like gutshots, clubs, Ax, Qx etc)

I'll live this open if any other judge wants to discuss further.

Hi all,

Openlimping is fine if you have the very very very specific read that BB is very loose and aggressive after the flop (this doesn't mean the same as being a station, in fact it's quite the opposite) AND that he calls a lot of hands preflop. Otherwise it's a mandatory raise preflop. Turn is a raise regardless. River is a raise as played.
