I haven't played a great deal since I wrote the last post. In fact I think I played one session and it happened to be tonight.

A very good session, I implemented my plans in regard to the number of tables, kept my calm during suckouts (there were a few of them today) and I think I'm in my best form EVER right now!! In my mind I questioned every play I made, calculated odds in different situations, put people on ranges quite successfully... Yes!
I'm considering going to the weekly student poker tournament (I used go there regularly last semester, with some decent results) because I just feel like I'll fucking destroy them all cocky regulars!! Haha.
So to sum up my mindset has for some reason been perfect today.
That could very well be due to my recent collaboration with Kolonel71! We looked through a few hands and calculated things using ICM Explorer. Brief as it was, it has sparked some kind of learning hunger in me. We've got another one planned, had a look at each others hand histories... can't wait!
I may not have played a lot since the last update but I sure learned a lot! Watched a few vids by D. Phzon Zare, Chenny and Lessthanthree (favs), calculated a few situations, posted hands in the Eval Forums... I marked 79 hands during tonight's session for fucks sake!
On top of that things in my private life have been going the right way lately!
I'm on fire... ♠_evil: Moving to BetFair soon.
Some hands from today
1) Bubble facing shove from equal stack

Hero ($3,490)
BB ($7,425)
CO ($3,210)
BTN ($5,875)
BTN antes $25
BB antes $25
CO antes $25
Hero antes $25
Dealt to Hero 9♥ A♦
CO raises to $3,185 (AI), fold, Hero raises to $3,465 (AI), fold
ICM Explorer:
Fold: 3065 chips, 0.1797, SD: $16.13
Win: 7550 chips, 0.3475
Lose: 280 chips, 0.0212
Tie: 3915 chips, 0.2167
Equity needed: 48.59%
Chip odds: 38.31%
Risk premium: 10.28%
Chips gained by marginal call: 747.51.
Ties count as 59.92% of a win.
SD of marginal call: $17.44.
So we need 49% equity vs. his range in this situation. Risk premium is not huge since he's got a similar stack to us (thus we're not that risk averse vs him). Just how wide he shoves here?
Given he has got Reggy stats - 15/12/8.7 Limp=0 over 76 hands - I assume a range of 22.78%
Spoiler
22+,A4s+,K7s+,Q9s+,J9s+,T9s,98s,A7o+,KTo+,QJo
Against this range we've got 47.32% equity. So this is a close fold.
But perhaps the estimate is too conservative?
2)Fighting results orientation 55 BvB Bubble

Hero ($5,460)

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $5,460 (AI), BB calls $4,860

BB shows Q♦ Q♠
(Pre 81%, Flop 88.4%, Turn 95.5%)
BB wins $10,920
Villain is a fish 25/9! I know I shouldn't be results-oriented, but losing at a spot where there were two microstacks has left a bitter taste in my mouth... Is there anything we can do to minimise the risk? Limping doesn't make sense (we'll have to give up a lot), raising would create a huge pot with little room to move, folding is out of the question IMHO... Seems shoving is the only option here?
I've had more grey spots like this, only I held a marginal hand, like Q7oo... and was wondering - can I shove this if he'll call me with A2s or KTo?
3) 77s 6handed short tough spot

UTG raises to $800, Hero?
I put him on quite a strong range here given he seems a fish after 6 hands.
Do I shove over his raise or would it be overplayed?
