Ok, decided to make weekly wrap-up. Didnt make my 600 games goal, made 509 and am happy about it, coz I definitely wasnt lazy, was coaching one day and so on...
Seems that traffic at 30s KOs has slightly improved, maybe it just coincidence, will see.
Am losin lot of huge pots 4/5 players left, but still runnin very decent with ROI of 8% and ABI 17,5$.

I decided to post the hand bellow, it is very nice spot, I strongly believe my play is more then profitable. I am posting it also because the very good winning reg who shoved the UTG was mad at me and was calling me names and so on - just why? And how it is even possible that these guys are winning, solid sample, solid ROI and still being offensive in chat after...well I cant even say huge suckout...they have tens of it every session...weird, not fair play, hate it... OK and the MP caller is a huge fish who few hands before limp/called my 13bbs shove with 45o....and it is 30s KO.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, 30 Tournament, 75/150 Blinds (6 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Button (t3555)
SB (t2185)
Hero (BB) (t4132)
UTG (t975)
MP (t1330)
CO (t1323)

Hero's M: 18.36

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8, K
UTG bets t975 (All-In), 1 fold, CO calls t975, 2 folds, Hero raises to t3975, CO calls t348 (All-In)

Flop: (t3696) 2, K, J (3 players, 2 all-in)

Turn: (t3696) 2 (3 players, 2 all-in)

River: (t3696) 7 (3 players, 2 all-in)

Total pot: t3696

Results:
Hero had 8, K (two pair, Kings and twos).
UTG had 9, 9 (two pair, nines and twos).
CO had Q, A (one pair, twos).
Outcome: Hero won t3696

Can tell u this: even if they told me their hands (and is is top of their ranges) I would have around 24,5% equity. Pot odds are 34%. There are two bounties, there is a chance to take out the very good reg, be the CL on the bubble. I have strong read after the 45o paly, that the fish can have "anything". UTG is a reg so his range is like nash...

Limp/call with 54o vs call a push is a difference !!! ...i'll tell you why.... limp/call from fish is more personal to him. He thinks you level him so he calls and is showing you courage and no respect to you by calling you more wide

it's a clear fold imo, even if you put them on your slightly underestimated ranges. (can't involve the bounties to the spot but think it cant be so extra much infulenced by this).

Have you noticed that those who are chatting offensive on you have more luck against you ? The next proof how much poker is unfair !
Also good point is, that those guys will never ever be the better players than only good players because of their ego.

Hehe like "u wont bully me"! "so I call 45o"

Well that s the thing with involving bounties plus "in game selection" - trying to get reg out of the way, plus theres a side pot and side bounty against the fish. It is hard to calculate exactly how bounties effect your decision but I tried something, my friend HerekPL even made some own ICM calculator and for example Collin Moshman simply added chips into the pot according to the percentage of the bounty vs buyin - I ll explain...we start with 1500 chips, buyin is (make it simple) 10+5+0. Everyone folds, SB shoves, blinds are 0/0, so the pot odds we get are 50%. But theres the bounty...if I would go Collins way we would add 500 chips to the pot, so the pot odds are now 43%. The difference is realatively huge but makes sense...
I played thousands and thousands of KOs in last months, I think am gettin the "touch" for it and I believe that spots like the one I posted are super interesting. THis one is really not that great, no doubt, but u have the point.
I gave my oppononets ranges I thought they could have and the equity we could have with K8s is 27% (more if fish is loser). I think that two bounties could give us 7% of equity we need more. I also mentioned the side pot and side bounty (I actually thought am crushing the fishes range ). Anyways still like my shove...

And ofc we must think ICM wise but in KOs there is an advantage to have a bigstack and theres more value in the first place coz of our own bounty and the opponents one...

That is totally true. Nice picking on the spot. As we are 6-handed thought, there is some ICM tax to it, no matter that we are the big stack, we are still gambling for 1/3 of our stack. I am not good with making these calculations, always have been wondering how exactly looser we can go here. As a default, I fold here.

This is the range I give to the reg:
22+,A2s+,K8s+,Q8s+,J9s+,T9s,98s,87s,76s,A8o+,KTo+,QJo

Fish calling range ( a relatively loose one)
55+,A7s+,KJs+,QJs,ATo+,KJo+,QJo

And our hand has 25.71% equity vs it. + I think I rather use my big stack to apply pressure on the others instead of making marginal calls, which means, I rather make a marginal push instead of marginal call. I think that might be more + EV. Not sure though as again, I can't make the calculations myself. But this spot looks a bit too marginal to me. Would've been a different story if UTG and CO had their places switched to BTN/SB.

Do you play KOs solely or you mix with regular turbos? If you were to coach how much would you charge the hour?

Cpt. kurrk, u are about right asu always ;) And I said, there are better spots, better examples, this one might not be that great, marginal as u said. But I dont think it is spewy and if it made the reg throw names at me - am happy about it for our dynamics coz he definitely noted my lose call (obviuosly am jokin a bit, but...)

Lately I dont mix regular turbos in that much coz traffic is usually enough, but sometimes when I feel there are too much regs at KOs or low traffic I do add regular ones...for the coaching, I think I cant say it here coz it is against the rules, so add me and PM me or add me at [edited by fruktpuff]

Sorry MilanBurdych, I've had to edit out your skype details.
The reason for this is that we don't want people sharing personal contact details on publicly readable forums.

Also, as you point out, we only allow approved and professional coaches to promote and discuss their coaching on the forums.
While we cannot prevent you from private communication, the first contact must at the very least be made using the community tool.

Regards,
Richard

I think your results say everything so this theory should be close to truth.
Meaning that it must be huge callaments those KO's ;)

Callaments Made my day!

Definitely more place for gamble there...and as I can see my ROI this year nicely over 10% I strongyl believe it is based on spots like these...will see, small sample tho...

Hey guys, am havin somethin I like to call "correction" - when u run good, possibly better thn the EV, at some point it stops, your EV is still climbin up, but your wallet is lighter and lighter
I said earlier that I dont think EV is absloutely correct at KOs, but I am maintainin it still around 10% ROI, so I can sense am not flippin well last few days

(I hope am not chasin lessthenthrees bad run :/ )

Man this spot just doesnt let me sleep. I am no math genious but I am going to show u, how do I calculate spot like this and this is just how I see it, prove me wrong ;)

SO in this exact spot, if we reshove our beautiful K8s and we get into the threeway allin, there are 4 scenarios that can happen. I did put villains to some ranges, very average, nothin too lose, nothin too tight...

In 27% we win the whole pot, take two bounties, considering that the bounty is actually 2,78% of whole pricepool I add 2*2,78% to the ICM equity if we win, so we would have 36,68% (42,24% with bounties).

In 11% we win only the sidepot and take one bounty, we are left with 24,67% ICM equity (27,45% with the bounty)

In 41% we loose and the CO takes whole pot and we are left with 21,21% ICM equity.

In 21% we loose and CO takes the sidepot and we are left with 20,61% ICM equity.

All in all, it is 27,46% ICM equity if we PUSH.

If we fold and in 50% wins UTg and in 50% wins CO, we are left with 26,73% ICM equity.

THe result? Diff%: +0,73 !!!

Pls prove me wrong, as I said, am no genious, I was always more logical/analytical guy and I made this move based on many many KOs I played so I have this "touch"....

Hmm forgot about the whole bounty thing. Well I'm not sure how much difference KO's make and true enough you can knock out 2 players at once so obviously that adds a bit of edge, but how much I don't know.

Basically wiz says u can call UTG alone without CO's involvement if UTG is over 35%. So I guess that's debatable. Then with CO now shoving over something like 8.5% you need to be able to find enough in the bounties to make up a -1.33% edge. So if your workings show that then I guess it's ok

I presume you fold in a non KO game?

Yup, insta fold in non KO ;) Might call in winner takes all (chip wise it is close). And wiz - UTG is a reg, he is wider thn wizes 18% or what and the CO is super fish who can have pretty wide range...so it could be even more profitable, as thhey are wider...
Also I should mention the higher importance of takin the first place - u not only take 50% of the prize pool, but also your opponents bounty PLUS your own...Advantage of having big stack on the bubble is obvious...and takin fo the reg...u know ;)

I have this question for someone mathematically skilled. Can I calculate spots with bounties like this:

(EqP%)-(EqF%)+(probability of winnin the bounty*(bounty/prize pool))

What do u think?
