It is for fame and 75$ and the other guy(who has an excellent blog btw)

is an nl200+ player...c'mon not even a buyin for him. And I need to take my bike in the shop for a quick repair and I don't want to end up like this poor girl:
So ship the votes
I mean...yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah
I went to collect number one son's bike after its much needed repair at the weekend, and the nice girl who was serving me told me it would set me back £95.
If only I'd remembered this video I could potentially have saved myself some money. A bit of a long shot, but you never know.

Time to go out and paaaarteeeeey!!!! ![]()
Going through a really rough period lately.
I never really like to tell people how I'm running cold like a penguin or how bad things are cause far as I can tell self-pity never changed anything. It might make you feel good when others tap you on the back saying "Poor you, you deserve better"...but still not much change, right?
It is really important to be self-aware in poker and life in general. In my opinion that includes facing ourselves even when we don't really want to.
I like to think that I'm mentally strong for different reasons and that things can't really affect me...and I like to think that I've dropped my ego and eliminated it when @ the tables. I can judge realistically which hands I can play against which players profitably and not fool myself into thinking that I'm sooo much better than reg1 or reg2 even if it might be close to the truth.
BUT ego issues are not really over at that point...
To let you guys get more insight into my situation I tell you the background story quickly rather than talking in enigmas for the whole time. I was a nice winner @ 888 (nl50), I left cause of shitty rb w the goal to play only nl100 at the end of this month. I started off @Boss really bad, in fact I lost a lot...a lot lot... and from establishing myself at small stakes I went down to struggling at the micros.
Yes, I ran bad and made mistakes that were caused by inexperience and because I didn't know what was the best play at that time.
But I found other mistakes that were caused by something else. When reviewing hands I knew that my play was bad or didn't make any sense, in fact I knew at that very moment when I clicked the button, but I still did it...
I wasn't really on tilt, annoyed by a particular hand.
I had to realize that I'm in this constant state of "annoyment" (I think this is not a word, but you get what I mean)
My plan was to play nl100 and if I don't succeed there to grind up @nl50, but I couldn't do it, struggled @50-25---still there...I felt bad when I sat down to play, I felt that I was failing in something I love to do and I want to be successful at... it IS an ego issue as well.
A robot would acknowledge the fact that it has to move back at a certain point when the BR hits a certain low. It would continue to play the way it is programmed and move up when the BR is suitable to do so, without any feeling of disappointment or failure.
This feeling is what makes me play worse than I know to play, ignore some reads and make a hopeful/terrible play.
Now that I successfully diagnosed myself w this, what steps will I take to heal myself?
I realized that I'm holding myself back w the constant self-punishing thoughts that come mainly from these mixed feelings of disappointment/failure. I have to respect myself enough and consider all of this as a learning process. Drop the ego completely. Hard work will have results. I have proven that to myself last year when playing sngs. I have this grand opportunity to make myself a really awesome player and I'm sure as hell that I don't want to waste it.
When I'll feel strange during a session and these feelings come back, I'll just sit out for a few minutes and concentrate on the goals I want to reach.
It will be a lot easier w one less villain @ the tables
Arsenal got off to a terrible start this season. Trashing vs Man U...defeat after defeat. Imagine if the players would have punished themselves w thoughts like this... Like, "We should be fighting for the league title and not against relegation"
They would have stayed @ 16th place. But instead they worked hard and remained focused...now they are 3rd.
Know exactly how you feel mate, been there, done that ...
But you are obviously on the right track so not much else to say other than to wish you the best of luck and stamina on this journey of ego conquering
I'm prly not qualified to give advice. But i'm going to share my thoughts anyway.
Don't expect anything, stop dreaming about moving up/higher stakes/making money etc. Only focus on things that are happening right now and actually matter: the most +ev play and how to adjust to new information.
gl!

I have these moments also sometimes, this "idontcareiwilljustfuckitin" attitude which comes out for me for example in a tourney when im rly tired or annoyed by someone and wants to show him/win the hand/get my right, so bad that i forgot why am I actually sitting there and just go over the top. Too high expectations, have to recognise always.
You should not punish yourself with toughts while playing. The drama happens in your head than, and if you would be able to see yourself from outside...you know you would laugh
as you laugh on it after some time also. Its always just important in that moment, and later on you regret it.

that is prolly all... gl to all of those that realized that are walking in my shoe. We are going to crush it, no matter what limit it is going to throw in from of us...always 100% concentration and 100% dedication and then you are qualified... ♠_cool:
Morning guys, I'm really proud of myself...my drunk post is successfully disguised as a sober post ♦
btw I appreciate all of your comments, experience and idea sharing. This is why I fucking love this forum
there cant be many players who haven't been through that stuff, of any sport not just poker. Sometimes I wonder if the only difference between those really good players who cream up through the limits crazy fast and me is that they can control it right from the start.
Writing it down helps so much, it reminds me that I really need to do the same
I left boss a few days ago, I really couldn't stand the software, when I had time the last few days to produce some volume it wouldn't let me login, and when I fixed that problem and sat down to the 6max tabs, it wouldn't let me rebuy...I don't know why. sigh.. anyways left boss and bzoooooming now.
Had a long session yesterday, today I'm planning a monster session ♠_cool:

What's the question? You have the nuts against some dude that is clearly clicking buttons. 9x, AsKx, AsQx, maybe TT with
but it doesn't make much sense to play it that way. Whatever he has, I can't think of why it's better to c/c, c/shove with it instead of cbetting to start with. If he had you beat it's just a cooler and you would've got it in whatever he does.
