I couldn't tell what I was being called with. I checked the river, because i was afraid of a possible flush or being otherwise slow-played, and didn't want to be check raised. Should I have bet for value?

Hey MoneyDearest,

U can bet a bit bigger on the Flop, he only can have TT & 99 there that beats u. The turn should then be a shove because you will be playing your equity more which is fine

I think you played this hand abit too scared in a 3bet pot

best regards,
Gerv

Hi Gerv!

Thanks for your replies!

About shoving the turn - i get that I would be pot commited anyway, so I might as well shove (i have to start paying more attention to that!) but I am wondering, if I shove, what could he call me with that would be worse? The only thing I see is a flush draw, straight draw (A7), or A8, A9. Could I expect him to call a 3/4 pot bet with these?

Cheers,

John.

Hi!

Well, I'd expect AA or KK to 4bet preflop!

Cheers,

John.

I don't consider KK-AA in their range. If I do then I dedicate 1 combo each to it which won't change your equity drastically

I think he can have random overcards, TT,99, 98 and some hands that we think are not in his range but since it is microstakes they are

People are a bit too loose on microstakes so that is why shoving the Turn is mostly profitable here as they can show up with stuff u dont expect
