Solid results, pretty much what I expected to see. Good job
Sorry for bringing the personal coaching up again but i feel like i have some things to say.
(Someone said you can learn from books, but not from a 1 on 1 coaching. Obv flawed thinking.)
Others who talk about it being a waste of money, have you tried it and belived in it? If you havent done it 100% you have very little to contribute in the matter. If you want to have an opinion, you should have G O O D reasoning behind it, as all you pokerplayers know this is essential at the tables, but what most people miss is that it is at least as important away from them.
One of my favorite quotes comes to mind; "Those who say you can and those who say you cant are both usually right." ( something like that )
One of the hardest things for a human being is to see his/her own flaws, if you cant see where you need to work with yourself, then you might not be able to benefit from a 1 on 1 coach. And you know what, That is fine, and you might be able to be exactly the person that you want to be just by working with yourself.
The ones that say they dont need to work with themself ( IMO ) is as right as the people that think they are so good at poker that they dont need to work with their own game.
end rant
Im looking forward to hear what Vonki has to say about the coaching, and im very certain she will be way ahead of many of the haters, sooner or later.
peace

Hi vonki,
Seems you've become very upmarket then! Or were you always!?Congrats.
As for your no complaining challenge, will you make a distinction between complaining and whinging/whining/ generally moaning? I don't like whinging, it always smacks of 'poor me' and is generally a selfish act imo.
Complaining on the other hand can be very beneficial for many reasons that don't necessarily point to selfishness.Just a thought.
Long time ago but ill try anyway.
Can you state a few benefits to complaining vs giving constructive critisim? Im curious.
You make me consider looking for a coach. Guess I'm below your level now for sweats :f_frown:.

BTW still 4 tabling?

Maybe you should then?
Haha, below my level? I don't know, as I don't really know much about you or what games you play and stuff
I think this blog is dying. I just don't know what to blog about anymore. ![]()
Let's see... well, our cat had 2 kittens. They're like suuupersmall and kinda cute.
Oh, and I'm looking around to get my own place again. I can't stand living at home any longer. The sad part is that since I don't want to buy an appartement (I don't plan on sticking around here that long), it's pretty tough to get a place. I don't have that many points on the waitinglist, and there arent that many rentals avaliable.
I did get a few offers (along with the rest of the top 5), so hopefully I'll find something soon.
My muscles are aching today. I started working out agian, and in a weird way the pain feels pretty good
The plan is to do some weights 3x/week and swim 2x. The way I see it, poker involves so much passive time that I should include a 1 hour workout 5x/week to compensate. I also considered some group workouts, they had some that seemed pretty nice. Like boxing, yoga and boxing + kicking (tho, not vs other people... so don't know how much fun that would be ♦).
Aparantly they also have some "relaxe" area. I'm thinking that could be pretty nice, after a 4-5 hour grind... to go there and spend half an hour just relaxing in the bubble pool. ![]()
I'm also trying to change the structures of my days. The last 4-5 months I've been getting up between 12-2 PM, going to bed at 3-5 AM. I think that's pretty standard for alot of pokerplayers, but I've noticed how much more productive I am when I get up at a more decent time (like 10 amish), and during my 7h long grind (which is the longest I've ever gone in one go), I just never felt exhausted. I started playing at 13:30 PM and carried on playing... Yea, I probably didn't play at my very best towards the end, but I was still able to play pretty decent poker imo.
When I played 8 hours in a day, and got up at like 2 PM, to start playing by 4 PM, continue a few hours, take a few hours break and continue playing, I would be completely and utterly exhausted towards the end of the last session.
That said, I'm really looking forward to seeing how much that change would do for me. I have yet to finalize my schedule, but I figure if I go to the gym first thing, my brain has enough time to "wake up" so that I can play poker once I get back and have had lunch (would be more like brunch tho I guess). 3 hour session, followed by... ye. Guess I'll try it out and see what feels like the best thing to do next.
Anyayway /end rant.

And happy eastern!

The last week/s I've been looking around to get a place of my own again. Few days ago it struck me... getting my own place, including all utility bills and what not + food and pocketmoney is still gonna end up being just as expensive as moving elsewhere, which is what I wanted all along.
Aaand, because there's a spot in the house I originally wanted to join back in February, i'll be going to Cebu, PI, ~June 1st for 2 months ♦ That's until the lease of the house runs out. If I like it, I'll likely go back in Sept or so ![]()
This is where I'll be staying... ![]()
