Flop and turn play ok? I was not sure how much to bet on river, so I made a smallish bet that villain could call with K or J

edit: forgot to mention situation and reads - villain is regular but fishy, calls a lot preflop, tightens up post-flop. I have defended my BB aggressively last two rounds, one win without showdown, on another I was raising with air, villain was on gutshot draw but didn't make it. Since I did not want to try the third barrel so the river was checked down and my A-high held up

Bet turn. Wouldn't you hate for villain to check behind?

I like your play. I would have bet just a little bit bigger on the river, like 6$.

Fold at the flop. Top Pair 8 kicker is not good enough to call a reraise.
Especially when Villain is tight postflop.

I would bet/fold flop.
Bet turn and bet more on the river- 2/3 pot
