well, theres a lot of money in poker. but you can always give up early by saying its impossible. thats what most people do about everything, anyway

In theory it should still be possible for you even if it's a long shot. Do you ever take any of your points and throw in for any of the MTT events? I know most poker sites give you the best conversion rates for buying into tournaments.

In any case you definitely have a valid point. I think there's a reason most of the high stakes guys live in places like Vegas where they have tons of access to live poker games.

There's tons of money to be made in the Lottery too, it's all about taking shots and winning! GL everybody!

Really interesting thread.

But i have different question.. the game is getting harder and the edges are smaller. Which "game" is the easiest to beat? I know that you can make solid money with cash games, with SNGs and with MTTs, but where can you make biggest and fastest improvement?

I think that MTTs are the easiest to play in this days. But it's too bad, that variance is so damn high..

If person that knows absolutely nothing about poker, ask you, which type of game do you recommend to start.. your answer is?

Am I the only person who thinks that at least to NL100 the games havent got harder the last few years at all?

The way to make the biggest and fastest improvement is in your head, irrespective of the game variant.
@hackett77, yes I agree, just more agressive; correctly or otherwise.

I also think people learn what they learn and it works, so they don't want /need to improve it at their limit, then they get stuck and say the game is getting harder.
