I'm concerned by the negative posts here, in Europe 888 are running some great low buy in live tournaments, which is a big reason I've signed up.

There seems to be a lot of negative comments without much substance, not sure why, can anyone give some actual evidence, and to the person emailing them constantly, I've had swift replies to all my emails. I am open to hearing facts as to why you think they are crooks, but have yet to read anything that back up those claims, maybe i've missed something?

well firstly, they didn't even bother to send me an e-mail when they blocked my account and still after one month nothing.. i mean wtf, even the worse poker site sends you an e-mail after blocking your account, i've send them a couple of e-mails but they didn't bother responding, they only send you e-mails when they have promotions and they aren't interested about their costumers , only when they earn something from them.I was gold member there for a brief period and after i played there occasionaly must have pissed them off lol

How about posting the emails and replies here, know that kind of thing gets responses on 2plus2, detail it, I for one play there and would like to know the details, rather than just making allegations, would that be possible?

No offence meant but it does all come across a bit jumbled, clearly stating the details and backing those up with actual emails, would possibly make it easier for 888 to respond too. I can see you're clearly angry and I can respect that, I've had issues with online sites before and found going about it in a factual way rather than just ranting (for want of a better word), could help sort the issues you've got.

I dont mind 888.Ive had no major cashout issues, some have taken longer than others but only by a day or two. I think the software is ok and have seen no more bad beats on there than I have on any other site. Yes their rakeback/VIP program is pants, but you can make up for this by playing ABC poker as everyone there suffers Fancy Play Syndrome!
All in all I think 888 is pretty fair site, i sympathise for the people who have had issues as this cant be nice situation to be in but I cant slag em off any more than any other site as Ive never had a problem with them.

Hi all,
So finally I had an email from operations department saying, they have cashed
out my full bank roll. Think it'll reach my e-wallet in a couple of days.
Still I don't think they'll refund the points I had (a lot) for cash as I have never converted them so far and I played there full time too. And no refund for the tourneys I had registered when my acc. was banned.

@Lazza- Thanks a lot for your support mate . I really appreciate it.
@Jakinbeat- This is the 1st time they have replied after more than a week. I had been sending numerous emails every two days.
Still they are refusing me to give me a reason as why they banned my account It had happened to some of other regulars too who have got their money back but have been banned without getting any reaso.n from 888 and LA.

@besece- Hope u had got ur money refunded like me. Don't expect emails from then about this matter. I have a few friends who were in platinum status when they got their account banned and still have'nt got any reply after more than 1month. Find a better site than 888.. Oh wait every site is better than 888.. so ur good playing anywhere else. :)

Hello
Just wanted to note that the discussion that took place in this thread has not gone unnoticed.

There's little to be done in the specific case operation wise, but as mentioned earlier, we are working on ways to decrease our response times - especially when it comes to security and verification processes - regardless of the reason for the process.

As you said
"I had an email from operations department saying, they have cashed
out my full bank roll[/B
]. " As a player, I understand that the response delay was stressful, especially when you are awaiting the ok to cash out your entire bankroll from a frozen account.
Regarding tournaments you were registered to when your account got blocked - if you feel the procedure of handling the "unreg" was wrong, please message me and I will look into it.

Run Good

Anderson

Hi Anderson,
I have messaged you. Can u also find out the reason why they have decided to ban me from Pacific Poker network?

Thanks in advance.

It has been made clear that 888Poker is banning players that withdraws on a regular basis, meaning winning players.

We've recently seen the poker industry take a big turn, especially lead out by examples such as Essence of Ongame,ON 2 or Ipoker2 all in order to decrease the negative cash flow from regulars these days in order to create a more healthy eco for the recreational players. Because doing so, will increase the value of these players as they will generate a lot more rake than previously since they will be less likely to lose their money to a regular who will hypothetically soon after, cash it all out.

With that said, 888's goals are no different than the ones of any other network or skin these days, they're all just trying to turn a better profit for themselves. However the difference is that what 888poker is doing isn't just manipulating its product in order to achieve their goal by say changing their rake model, or VIP program in order to seem less enticing for winning regulars, no what they're doing is practically a real thug move. They're purposely getting rid of all those players who are actually solid winners by kicking them out and shutting the doors.

Suddenly Poker became Blackjack? (oh no, they can beat the game, np we'll just ban them)

I think what they're doing is really shameful, just because they didn't like the terms of the poker industry they decided to create their own terms. I think this should be highlighted by the poker world, they have a tarnished reputation and now a damaged product since it is no different from being a rigged site if you look at the big picture.

They did this to themself, we should simply be the messengers if you ask me.

Any thoughts or opinions on my accusations?

It looks bad. Firstly they capped amount of tables you can play then they banned rakeback for the old account(couple of years ago they were offering rakeback), lately they started banning winning players/people that are taking advantage of that there is many skins so you can at least bonus whore a little bit.
Even bodog which is mainly betting site/casino never get close to something so retarded. The reason why poker is so popular is that it is the game of skill.
888 given that they are mostly casino try to turn it into another retarded casino game with no winners at all...

Hey guys,
The exact thing is in my mind too.. I never mentioned it before thinking I'm just being crazy (like how players accuse a site as rigged). But from the above two post I really think u guys are right.

Some more reasons to consider this :
->> I personally know more than 10 players who have got their accounts banned from Pacific network in the last 1 month( 4 from Inda, 3 from russia and 3 from Poland). They have got a refund but are'nt allowed to play again in any of their stes.
->> All of them were very good players (Gold / Platinum in status in 888).
->>All of them were cashing out every week because they did'nt want to keep their money there as we all know how weak the password is (can't create strong ones) . (Except me  )
->> None of them have got a reason untill now even after sending numerous emails for getting banned.

PS: If a PS moderator /888 rep wants proof, I can send them the screen names of these players. I'm not saying without any proof.
Also u can't play more than 8 tables at a time this is a joke.

@rdminck- I agree with you. But I don't understand why they would ban winning regulars as each of them were raking atleast 1000-2000$/month .A recreational player would take atleast 6 months to rake this much imo.

quite simple, winning players rake a lot by killing losing players (busting them)

if you then remove that factor, then the losing players are less likely to die, ergo more players will be able to continue playing and raking as their money will just bounce between one losing player to another. This means that more people generates rake and less money disappears from the site.

Because instead of being cashed out by the winning regulars and be brought away from site, by endlessly bouncing around from player to player, the money will now be converted into rake which then goes into the pockets of the site owners.

- I had a similar problem as well when I opened an 888 acct. through PS., last year.
- They closed my account, banned me, and also closed my wsop acct. and withheld the funds I had on there, claiming I had "abused a promotion" (wtf does that even mean?) (I suspect it was because I withdrew some winnings from wsop!?)
- When I questioned this, and asked exactly what it was I was being accused of, they could not give me an answer, and just fobbed me off.

- Suffice to say, even if they lifted the ban, I would never, ever, use any site associated with Cassava! (and would also advise others to do likewise)

- Personally, I think this is totally shameful, and is exactly the sort of thing that discourages new players.

- Why put up promotions, if they can't cope when players try to maximise the EV of such offers? (agree with rdmnick)

Only they make a very big mistake, and everybody know that for sure!!!

This is not good for them (888poker network) the hole time people are writing about it is very negative and still they don't want to resolve it fast?

New people who read this they don't make money deposit or register on there site anymore.

And above all Pokerstrategy needs to do something, how can you can keep any further relationship with a site treathen people like this? We are the players from Pokerstrategy and with so many complains from the players i would think what is the next step!!

Because we all know what an effect can have a snowball!!

I would say after i was not happy with the software and i cleaned it from my computer, but i will never go back to the 888 pokernetwork.

NICE WORK 888

The problem with Cassava is that they are mainly casino site. They have no clue how to run poker business.
They think that if they ban winning players recreational players will have more money so they will be able to loose it elswhere (bingo, casino where 888 has the biggest edge and doesn't have to compete with anyone for the Recreational players money).
At the poker tables they have to compete with regs for the dead money so what is the easiest solution??- ban players that they compete with for the recreational players money.

This is really huge. It should be news everywhere cause at this point Cassava should be punish for that. We as a poker community shouldn't let anything like that to happen.

Seriously at this point it looks really bad for the Cassava/888. They should respond to the accusations. Banning for colusion etc. is ok but claiming: "We made a business decision, GTFO". WTF is this shit, seriously.

It is like going to restaurant that have happy hours at the end of the day and they would ban me cause I abuse their promo eating there only when it is cheap??? Just LOL

This is so sh.. vish and others, really sorry for your sake. Thanks for letting us know! Gonna ban the cassava/888 network mails from now on while waving some fingers, with a smile on my face.
