The first big hand saw him raise 3 :spade:3 UTG and get a call from the UTG1 player. The flop was a beautiful K :heart:Q :heart:3 and DK continued for 12,500. His opponent raised to 28,500 and Daniel made the call after a tank.

The A turn bought a 31,000 bet from Daniel and his opponent fairly quickly raised to 100,000. Daniel paused for one minute before moving all-in and was snap-called by K :heart:Q

"HOOOOOOOOOLD!" cried the impartial journalist.

The A on the river boated Daniel.

Two hands later, I came back to the table to see Daniel calling an all-in with A :heart:A on a J :diamond:T :spade:6 board. His opponent flipped his cards and his face fell: "I thought I had spades," he glumly said, revealing A :club:9

Exact count on the way, Daniel is still stacking chips.

EDIT: Daniel has 520,000. He's not chip leader but is definitely in the top five stacks in the room.

I missed the action here, but the money went in pre and it was Daniel's T :heart:T against K :club:K :heart:, which held up.

Daniel doubled his opponent up but still has a very healthy stack of nearly 3x average, roughly 450,000.

Meanwhile, in the Everest Cup...

76 players of 104 runners remain, giving us a €67k prize pool for the first side event of WPT Marbella.

CallumN has around 2.5x the average stack of 20,500 with 49,000; pokermachy has about 19,000.

WPT Marbella Day 2 Chip Counts:

GOGOGO DANIEL!

CallumN has gone from a 3x average stack to busto in the last stages of the €770 Everest Cup.

Having 3-bet Q :club:T he checked behind a flop of Q :heart:2 :club:3 and then villain lead out on the 7 turn. Callum called and rivered trips with the Q

Villain bet out and Callum raised, getting a call from Q :spade:J and losing the pot.

A few hands later, he 3-bet A :heart:5 in the cutoff versus the same villain. The flop fell 3 :diamond:4 :heart:7 and Callum continuation bets. Villain calls and the J turn gives Callum a flush draw to go with his double gutter.

Villain checks and Callum bets 10,200 leaving himself roughly 20,000 behind. Villain jams and Callum fml-calls with his myriad of outs. Villain has turned a set with J :spade:J and our man misses his outs on the 4 river.

gg, best of luck to Callum in the €330 Spanish Open tomorrow.
