Someone should fire that dealer, seriously. totally unfair to his two overs to skip dealing one community card.
We are on the final table bubble after a coinflip on the secondary table.
9 players remain.
The clock is paused as the tables are combined to a 9-handed table.
One player will be leaving tonight, the rest will return for the final table tomorrow.
OK after all the hustle and bustle of the TV table, signing forms and chip counts I've got Daniel here.
He's 8/8 with 270,000 chips and blinds have just hit 12,000/24,000/4,000
"So the feature table started off with the first hand where I was on the button with A :heart:2
and UTG opens (we are 6-handed at this point) and I 3-bet. He clicks it back and I 5-bet him. I felt he was super-weak because he would call his top range against my 3-bet. He instantly 6-bet shoves and I am forced to fold.
"Then my stack was 500,000 (10k/20k/2k blinds) and I also had to fold two opens to a 3-bet. Then the table was redrawn as we began 9-handed play and I still hadn't had a single hand. Then I got A :diamond:J
in the cutoff and opened, the small blind and big blind both called.
"The flop comes J :spade:9 :heart:5
and small blind checks before big blind donks half pot. It felt to me like QJ, QT, KJ. Against him, I wanted to get it in but the small blind was very suspicious so I just called. The small blind tanked for a while and then called as well.
"The turn was 6
and the small blind checks again. The big blind checked behind and I bet around half pot. The small blind tanked for two minutes before clicking it back. The big blind folded fast and it was back to me.
"My plan was, on the turn, to bet/fold because it's cheaper than checking behind and calling a big river bet from the small blind. I still had to tank for like four minutes to release my top pair, top kicker.
"Before folding, I asked 'do you really have pocket nines?' When I folded, he got my question translated to Spanish and flipped over his 9 :club:9
which was obviously super-good for me to have made that fold, but it has left me with ten big blinds behind."
Chip and a chair, Daniel.
