I guess I'll come out of my forum hiding and properly introduce myself.

My name is Peter, I'm 29y/o and I've been playing poker for about 2.5 years now since I've joined Pokerstrategy after seeing it advertised on a Teamliquid Starcraft tournament. I decided why not give it a go with the 50$ starting capital and after losing most of that with bad SSS play and the rest when FTP went down I restarted by freerolling on Poker770. I won a few small amounts and 1 PokerStrategy Freeroll 1st place (YAY) then I started some full ring tables and even gambled some with only basic knowledge on PLO and won myself some more. Right now I'm stuck in maintainance mode going for silver every month by playing Double or Nothings. I'm thinking of actually learning to play real full ring and moving up, or just going for short handed play shortly after.

What do you guys think I should do?

Hi psiborg

Welcome to the community even if you were around for longer. It's always nice to see when people start posting on the forum!

Well done on your first freeroll!

I think the best thing you can do is start of with full ring and start to study the basic articles or even start with the No Limit Beginners Course. Just start from there and build up your knowledge and your bankroll of course!

If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask them!

Best of luck on the tables

Welcome, i would recommend full ring as well, lot's of articles and easy to follow strategies out there, with some good ABC poker it should not be to difficult to beat anything up to 25nl in 6 months.

Thanks for the warm welcome (I think).

I'm not hiding, just never had much incentive to speak. I'll be making more of an effort to post hands etc. soon.
