I also heard an interesting stat yesterday. Apparently, Liverpool have the second best possession rate in Europe (Barca the best) in both the opposition half and own half of the field. Therefore, a more clinical finish and those 30 woodwork chances could have changed that league position dramatically!

I'd believe it!
I'm still scratching my head with the WBA loss.
Think the Gods are poking fun at Liverpool this season in the league.
Obviously, being better would help but it's just been surreal what has happened in the league.

FYP
We're fucked,we are actually completely and utterly fucked.West Brom away,Spurs at home and Norwich away and we are 3 points from safety with all the other teams around us fighting for their lives and we haven't won a game in 8.
Financial fair play kicking in next season.Good game Villa, good game.

Couldn't believe that....when Villa went 1-0 up I thought they'd get a few! It's close but I think you will be fine as Bolton and Blackburn have got difficult games:
Bolton home to Spurs / West Brom and away at Stoke. Blackburn away at Spurs / Chelsea and home against Wigan!
Therefore, my prediction is that Blackburn and Wigan / Bolton may be joining Wolves next season!

Yes and no representatives from the; 'best league in the world'.
La Liga = SPL in the sun.
Wasnt so long ago I remember (very vaguely in a mist of Tennents Super), Celtic coming down and owning the premiership big hairdos (sry players). Was it Liverpool at Anfield who lost about 3 - 0, not quite sure!? And some other also-rans.
I do think it will be a good final this time though. And when will Real get there, they are the shop window of football at the momemnt after all.
See Guardiola will be leaving in the summer. Shame to see him leave and you never know, he may end up in England next season!

Not really surprised by his departure. The poor guy looks absolutely shattered.
As long as he doesn't end up at ManUre or Chavski I'll be happy enough!
The linking him to the England job is hilarious though.
Dont believe Pep is into managerial suicide!

♦ very true! That's a job for happy to handle!!
@ Chiefswatch:
Quality game from last night if you get a chance to see it. We're 2 points clear at the top of the combined table and looking pretty damned good (outside of some weird option taking/tactical kicking in amongst the good stuff).
Woe @ Wayne Smith for NZ rugby fans (consensus is he's off) and jubilation @ Wayne Smith if you're an England rugby fan.

If its true, it will be some signing.
Does Smith have an exit clause in his Chiefs contract? I cant find any confirmation if he's accepted the job offer or not?

Yes he does - he has a two year contract with an option to bugger off if someone with a big enough cheque book comes along. We've had no further updates but just listening to him being interviewed, and Steve Tew (NZRU) and Gary Dawson (Chiefs CEO) talking about it, all signs point to Twickers.

In a word no!I'd like to see the FA go with that loveable scamp, Jose.
No way Jose would take it IMO.
