Quality game from last night if you get a chance to see it. We're 2 points clear at the top of the combined table and looking pretty damned good (outside of some weird option taking/tactical kicking in amongst the good stuff).
Woe @ Wayne Smith for NZ rugby fans (consensus is he's off) and jubilation @ Wayne Smith if you're an England rugby fan.
If its true, it will be some signing.
Does Smith have an exit clause in his Chiefs contract? I cant find any confirmation if he's accepted the job offer or not?
Yes he does - he has a two year contract with an option to bugger off if someone with a big enough cheque book comes along. We've had no further updates but just listening to him being interviewed, and Steve Tew (NZRU) and Gary Dawson (Chiefs CEO) talking about it, all signs point to Twickers.

Originally posted by MarkQuick Brian Smith turns down a new club contract, coincidence? I truly hope so.
Just giving him the surname Smith won't make him into an epic backline alchemist Smith. As much as I love English rugby being pants, with the backline talent coming through for England I don't think even I would wish Ashton on them.
"...and then I was like "?", and they were like "..." and then it all came down to the cheese making method. Needless to say

Hope Hodgson does a great job with England.Genuine guy and quality manager but pretty ironic that he's coming into a job not being the popular vote just like the Liverpool job with Daglish.Lots of experience and i reckon England will get semi-finals at least this year.
If you can get highlights of the Leinster and Clermont game Waiboy i would highly recommend watching it.Best game of rugby i have seen in a long time.
Another loss for Liverpool at home and good point for Everton.Villa hanging in there. If there was another 4/5 weeks of footy left with teams on current form then it would definitely be good night to them. Will go down to last day of the season though so who knows what will happen.
Sorry bud missed your post. Looking good at the moment 1-0 and spurs down to 10.
You're right the Leinster game was a belter. I still don't know how Fofana knocked on? It seemed easier to score:

Who do you fancy for the final?
I caught the highlights - so sick how it ended. I think I'd still be vomiting if I were a Clermont supporter.
Just out of interest, are there any teams NOT coached by ex NZ NPC coaches in European rugby? What would happen to any other country if you removed 15 coaches from their developmental system? We won a world cup LDO (haven't mentioned that for a couple of weeks, didn't want you blokes to forget), but perhaps we had no choice but to keep the same three coaches for eight years....
@ Chiefswatch: Still keep on trucking, bit of an off week but pick up the win and bonus v the table propping Lions.
