Bottom set there is thin but I think we have the best hand so often that we can't check and let him have a showdown with 'slowplayed' KK, AQ, KQ.

He is too tight, not a thinking tight player imo.. It's reasonably likely he plays so few hands that he will feel commited to the pot when he hits.

Second hand, easy fold. He is not raising worse.

+1.

But I'm even wondering about the river bet. Against a std tag reg our hand is pretty marginal on the riv (maybe junk?). He has to have AK here a lot for him to be able to call worse. I would say our bet is AK+ and maybe we don't even bet that.

He started with <100bb, so he could call with any bit of the board. And I folded to his raise.

Hand 1, I somewhat reluctantly called, and he showed me QJo, so that was OK, but a close one I think.

Hand 1 he calls a bigger bet than he threw in himself if you bet. So you lost value, not OK... :f_mad:

Yes, yes. We already agreed that I should have bet/folded.

Now nobody listens to me anywhere....not even here! :f_cry:

I was having a nice session tonight, +4BI after 1K hands, then....(and I know I'm not meant to whinge and post bad beats, but seriously, wtf was this guy thinking?? I mean it's pretty obvious when I raise that I'm not kidding, but I suppose if he's going to open raise that big, bet sizing isn't his strong point.)

PokerStars - $0.25 NL (6 max) ZOOM - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: $25.00
SB: $12.50
Hero (BB): $56.15
UTG: $28.24
MP: $63.26
CO: $25.00

SB posts SB $0.10, Hero posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.35) Hero has A♥ A♠

fold, MP raises to $6.50, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $16.30, MP raises to $63.26 and is all-in, Hero calls $39.85 and is all-in

Flop: ($112.40, 2 players) 7♦ T♠ 4♥

Turn: ($112.40, 2 players) J♥

River: ($112.40, 2 players) J♣

Hero shows A♥ A♠ (Two Pair, Aces and Jacks) (Pre 81%, Flop 9%, Turn 5%)
MP shows T♥ T♣ (Full House, Tens full of Jacks) (Pre 19%, Flop 91%, Turn 95%)
MP wins $110.40

I decided to stop, as I was a bit pissed off, but I suppose it's no more than you'd lose if you get it in at NL50, so whatever. :f_mad:

That hand is funny! Definitely a beat being 200bb deep and then some but chin up! You are already good for NL50 just one final push imo...

Just finished a good sweat session with thazar. He ran like god when I sweated him, and I ran like shit when he sweated me. Seems fair. I did make a BI this evening. Mind you, having said that, I played my usual two 235 FPP satellites with him sweating and binked both of them, which cheered me up. I just need to keep grinding it out.

I've just been talking to goldchess, and he's challenged me to play him a HU SnG in every game type offered by stars. I have of course accepted this challenge. I can't open stars here at work, but there's NLHE, FLHE, NL5CD, PLO, FLO8, FL27TD, NL27SD, Badoooogi, stud x 3, and probably more, not to mention 8game, HORSE, HOSE, HA and triple stud, so we should have some fun. I will count them tonight to see how long it will take us.

I feel very confident of my HU 5CD game, slightly confident of my HU NLHE game, and have no idea how to play anything else HU, not even opening ranges (opening ranges for HU FLO8? fml, I have noooo idea. I guess I need to watch Rainman's HU Razz vids too now! :f_love: ), so any tips would be gratefully accepted.

Now seriously, I will send my good vibes your way =) You will crush. Don't forget to enjoy it mostly, the rest will take care of itself as long as you play your usual a-game. GL :f_love:

But I don't have any game in most of these variants, never mind an a-game. We shall see. I will console myself with the fact that I lost our HU NL5CD because I got it in with AAxxx against his FD+gutshot and he caught one of his 12 outs. :f_mad:

12 outs? He doesn't have any game either then.
