Did he get any points at all?
I assume the Irish gave him a few at the very least? Surprised that UK only gave Jedward 10 points!

We got 12 points combined...from Estonia, Latvia, Belgium and Ireland
[ ] Solid result for Western European countries then
[ ] Maybe next year
[x] Same thing will happen next year

Ah was reading some Irish live commentary on the net and thats what they expected. Maybe they were biased. Seen the performance and it was pretty good in all honesty.
The bloc voting is always fun though

We are quite happy you gave Engelbert some points too
Who had the great idea to have Englebert as our entry?
Why would anyone vote for a wrinkly old man singing a dreary ballard when his voice has gone?
Terrible
UK needs to put some better songs out, the last few years have been shocking, its no wonder we always finish near the bottom.
The Swedish song was just kind of trash Euro pop but hey that's what people like I guess.
Can't believe Albania got so so many votes, it was just a woman screaming, how can people like that?
Songs are pretty much irrelevant nowadays.
It's about how many neighbouring countries you have, not about the song quality (in most cases).
Meh, I thought Sweden will win just after hearing their song w/o listening to most other songs. It's simply a top radio song in most countries while for the most part lots of eurovision songs aren't even radio worthy imo.
Sure the voting is a bit political, for example my country got 12 points from Georgia and it's pretty clear it's not because of the song b/c it sucks
(Our song actually sounds pretty good when sung in native tongue, Engrish translation makes it trash.)
Even w politics top songs still end up in the top tier even if it doesn't always mean top place for the best one since some countries have a bit of an edge over others.

Solid post.
Surely there is strong naber country voting going on always, but that does not do the job if only nabers give you points. We always get some from Finland, Latvia & lithuania.
but good surprise is when Iceland guy gave 10 and sing a frase from song + Holland, Slovakia & Russia give 10 then you know that someone like it
