Played a session the other day, not too happy with it, because I broke my rule and paid for it... Hopefully that will teach me.
It was a bit dry on NL4 so I went onto NL10 tables (with 15BI) and played these two hands with the same Reg in short succession; I think my second play makes a lot of sense, since he did see evidence of me being an aggressive player (see 1st hand), plus the turn donkbet doesn't make any sense at all.
Hand 1.

And the aforementioned Reg luckboxed against me for a full stack. I faked timing tells on flop&turn, because my image dictated I 3bet with speculative holdings pre. So wanted to make it look like I'm making a spewy bluff. Imagine the
when we showed down... No actually it wasn't so bad.

I also won some hands but nothing special. Just getting a little impatient now, to be honest, the NL£4 batters me day after day and I really want to progress now. Approaching B/E over 25k hands. Fucking hell.

Have a few reviews to do: the promised review of missed cbets + biggest losers for the last few days + making calls vs. "unorthodox" lines from fish (suspect I might be bleeding there). Also need to mend my MP opening range, because it is practically just another EP range!!
PEACE
Matt
PS. Poland vs. Czech Republic today, better get my throat ready for some shouting. Apparently they've prepared some show which is to take place before the match so looking forward to that. I'm actually quite proud of how we've handled the tournament from the hosting side of things so far (when we got chosen I said it'd be a worldwide embarrassment) apart from a few gaffes but they are down to an idiotic minority of fans, and the team itself hasn't been bad at all! Showed a lot of heart and determination. There'll be roaring support on the stadium today.
GO POLES!!
Awesome band I discovered recently:
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah Young Cardinaaals...
Had a look at my "Facing a raiser pre" hands, because I'm losing big there...
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
I was quite surprised, because apart from a few spews (flop broke bluff vs. station, preflop 5bet shove with 97s and ridic shit like that) they're for the most part set-ups and suckouts.
I filtered for VPIP=true

Running bad is of course no excuse for not working on one's game.
Like I said in the post before, next major goal - sorting out my MP (and CO) ranges!
PEACE
I opened more on MP, have to say that it felt weird, but it has to be done, MP range > EP range for maximum profit.
I tried opening my CO range, too, with some success. I also try thinking about each and every one of my cbets. As a result I cbet about 68% lately.
In the last days I once again realised how important concentration is for my success (following a complete brain fart of a play towards the end of yesterday's session), need those brakes to minimise spews/mindless plays!
I've looked at some graphs of my now 30k sample, like this one; "facing a raise, raiser + caller & 2 raisers, vpip=true, all positions":

Which makes me realise I've been quite unlucky. Oh well, will power on and wait for that bad luck to go. Pretty happy with my play minus some occasional spews.
This is how I've been doing since last time:

Nothing special. Happy to see the non-SD line doesn't plummet, I was kinda anxious I'd have a crocodile mouth graph but doesn't seem like it.
The Polish team played an atrocious game with the Czechs, but oh well, worldwide reports on the amazing atmosphere and overall quality of the tournament make me a proud Pole, so it's easier to swallow that defeat!
Power on Germany! Spain and Germany in the final, Germany 2:1 Spain.
Peace
Matt
POKER
Not much to say on how I'm doing since last time I posted here, still unlucky. Need to review some parts of my game, namely how I play multiway pots and flush draws. Some potential leaks in there. Other than that I reckon all is pretty solid, I stopped making hasty decisions, I have breaks, which helps with focus, made some adjustments (like opening my MP and CO ranges) etc. Pretty happy with what I do.
There's the graph since 22 july - my last post:

All of my hands so far (not the nicest thing to look at):

This graph says all about the dominating trend of that 40k. VPIP=true, Saw SD= true:

Added on some SNGs to accelerate the release of that FDB. It will soon end and there's still some $40-50 to be released. Played some NL5 rush as well.
SPORT
Well done to Spain, felt very sorry for Italy; my heart sunk when I saw the tears of Pirlo! Magnificent tournament for this player, he's world class. Fair play to Ballotelli, he's got a good chance to be big in football.
On another note - Polish tennis player Radwanska (third best in the world) is through to the final of Wimbledon! It looks like she'll play Williams but that's not a certainty yet. First time she achieved that. Admittedly she was a bit lucky with the draw, but still we're all really proud!
