Well, I'm pretty sure Phil can read.

Not saying he can't read, what amuses me is Phil himself, continuously mentioning these reading abilities he has.

we need a smart-ass smiley :f_cool:
Tony G likes to needle Phil, and one thing that he said about him makes sense.
He said that in poker, you need extreme confidence in yourself -- and Phil has that.

Whether Phil is a s good as Phil thinks he is is a matter for debate, but 12 bracelets and 91 cashes say something.

Now if only Phil would shut up, and let his results speak for him.

If you are good, and tell everyone you are, people sneer, call you a braggart, and generally disbelieve you.

If you are good, and let everyone else tell themselves how good you are, they may call you all manner of things, but they believe themselves.

It's only fair that two guys who played HU were the only two who had their flip flops on them in a 1M$ buy-in event. Crazy paydays, I think they both deserve it.

Next time I'm playing poker I'm using flip flops for run good

Did anyone see that video where Esfandiari stated he was visualizing himself winning the bracelet before the tournament started? Once I saw that I believed he was gonna take it down, he was just so positive about it. Quite interesting in terms of how much of an effect visualization/positive thinking has on outcome.

It is interesting that both the 1st and 2nd place finisher were staked/ sold shares for this tourney.
