So to be clear about 4bet bluffing:
If we make our raise size just over 2X (like 2.2X), we have to get the opponent to fold 60% of the time assuming he 5B or folds. This means if he is 3betting 10% of hands from the BU or blinds is it profitable assuming he only plays AQs+, AKo, JJ+ (which I think is wide at NL10 where I play. It's probably only AK and QQ+). Is this correct?
But certainly 4bet bluffing someone who is in the range of 15% 3bet with any two is probably profitable right?
Finally in 3b pots:
In position: How often do you typically make a cbet (also these are usually 1/2 pot correct?), and on which boards do you look to make such a cbet?
Thanks alot for this thread!
Hey,
Yes it maybe profitable with any 2, but I wouldn't go absolutely barmy at first. Start with some blocker hands like K10 and then gradually get more OOL until its not profitable to extend your range any wider.
Its like when a fish limps, first time we can make it 4x, if he calls next time we make it 5x, next time we make it 6x and he folds, it means we can be comfortable making it 4-5x.
Generally in 3bet pots ranges will be VERY polarised and pot to stack ratio will be super low so we can make our cbet sizings very small.
Here is a hand that I play a few days ago which shows the small bet sizing.
