I'm not amused ♦ Unfortunately we didn't use our Chances. I'm curious who will win the Championship.

Yes it's soon time to get ourselves ready for another epic Premiership season!

This how I see it.
1. City
2. United
3. Chelsea
4. Liverpool
5. Tottenham
6. Arsenal
Obviously a lot of transfers etc to happen before the start of the season though. Sure there will be plenty that disagree.
I'd insta snap that top 4!
Can't see that happening though - Liverpool have a lot of work to do to get back to 4th!

Haha may be slightly optimistic being a Liverpool fan but I think this year is the best chance we're going to have to get back into the Champions League. Arsenal are resigned to losing RVP who dragged them up the table last season. Spurs have made some good signings so far but will probably lose Modric and AVB is still a bit of an unknown quantity.
Also we already have a very strong defence, it's almost impossible for us to score less goals this year and there won't be all the turmoil with the media over Dalglish and the Suarez saga. A couple more decent signings (Borini looks good) and I think theres a decent chance.
Starting to get excited about this one. It'll beat crying every day at how drugged out Le Tour riders are getting their degen habits on... at least until the first positive test from the Games.
We've already got the blueprint for the fort in the middle of the lounge mocked up ready for watching NZ win their fourth place medals at 2am!
PS. Can't wait until that hypocrite Lance Armstrong finally gets his. Maybe him being bought to justice will be the thing that FINALLY gets the cycling fraternity to take doping seriously. It's awesome to think that one day I might be able to love watching cycling again. Fingers crossed.
PPS. Thought the Schleck boys may have been the real deal. Clearly I'm just a sucker.
Right Ian!
What did you make of that shambles yesterday then? I really wish that Ireland had not pulled the rabbit out of the hat and grabbed the win.
Trappatoni has lost the plot and for me after the Euros he had to go.... yet here we are same shit again ![]()
What has he got against James McClean?

Trap won't like that!

Was absolutely raging during the game yesterday Gary.Worst performance i have ever seen from them in my life.Know where you are coming from when you say maybe it would have been better if they lost but maybe we can hope for some miracle turn around to happen.Would you believe that is our 13th game unbeaten away in qualifiers.Would have had Trap sacked yesterday but will wait until after the Germany and Faroe Islands games before i pass any more judgement.
No doubt there is serious issues in the squad but i also think that the players have a responsibility here and they should have leaders within the squad saying this ain't simply good enough. Some ways McCleans frustration is a good thing too as shows he actually cares, maybe if half of the rest of the team had the same passion we could be ok.
After settling down today i have a feeling the backlash from the media and public will have some positive effects and if we can get a point (IF) at home to Germany i will still have a bit of faith.
Have to remember that our group in the Euros consisted of probably the 3 most gifted technical sides in the competition but also saying it was a shambles.Another 6 weeks and we will know everything i believe.
As for Liverpool and Villa's start to the season. No wonder we are both fecking raging
:rage:
Hope all well with you and the two at home as well
I'd love to share your optimism but things won't progress until Trap goes. We've always done better against the bigger teams with the exception of EURO2012.
The German game is going to be an absolute disaster unless things change and I think we both know this is NOT going to happen.
I feel for McClean though, 3 strikers play on the right side of midfield and he is left twiddling his thumbs on the bench? I mean WTF is with that? One of the most talented players we have just left sitting there ignored? It just does not add up?
Robbie Keane is past it - time to give Long the chance IMO he is not going to progress getting 20-30 minutes every other game. Keane should have just retired like the Duffer and Shay.
As for Liverpool - where do I start? Rogers looks decent, he has a good footballing philosophy but the Yanks have hung him out to dry thanks to the transfer deadline day shenanigans!
Clint Dempsey is a decent player, by no means world class but to not budge over £1m was a frickin joke when the loan of Carroll had already been sanctioned.
Ireland team for the friendly Gary:
Republic of Ireland team to play Oman:
David Forde, Seamus Coleman, Stephen Kelly, Paul McShane, Marc Wilson, David Meyler, James McCarthy, Robbie Brady, Kevin Doyle (capt.), Shane Long, Andy Keogh.
McClean must be reeking.Usual Trap says everything is grand but won't be surprised if he James goes down the path of one Andy Reid.Still going to wait until after the Faroes game until i join the "Trap out" army which is steadily growing in numbers.
Great result for the U-21s tonight who beat Italy away 4-1 and ended the game with 9 players
Apparently the floodlights went out after we scored the 3rd of 4th goal and there was a chance the game was going to be cancelled.Must have been a few disgruntled Italians with a few quid on the game ![]()
Rogers taking the wrap for KK's spending madness.Hang in there to xmas and pick up a few quality players in the market then.Understand ye must be very annoyed that the chances of reaching the CL are almost impossible this year but along way to go yet i suppose.
Not surprised to see McClean left out, mentioned it in the Indo today that he was gonna be benched yet again!
Feel sorry for the guy and if he doesn't start against Germany then I'm guessing it will be another Andy Reid like saga.
Delighted to see Meyler, Coleman, Wilson, Brady get a chance. Don't know much about Brady but if ol' red nose rates him then he must be a decent prospect!
Hopefully the Pool have something to hang onto by xmas, an injury to Suarez or Borini and its pretty much curtains for us! Neither are gonna score 20 goals a year anyways so I don't see us scoring too many ![]()
What's the story at Villa Park then?
