Hi
I started playing no limit hold em live a year ago and decided to try online also.
So,i need a quick guide where to start since i am a fish in online water.. ;)

1. Which game type you play? (No limit? Sit & Go? MTT? PLO, Fixed Limit, Other?)

I would play NL Cash, sometimes S&G and MTT

2. Which limit do you play? (example: NL25, SNG $11, FL .50/1)

NL5 or NL10

3. Short handed or full ring tables, or even Heads-Up?

I preffer 6 max

4. How much do you play? (e.g. I play 3 hours a week, or I generate $1000 rake/month)

Lets saaaay 3,4hr /day

5. How many tables do you want to play?

Probably 2,no more for now..

6. What are your goals for the next 3+ months?

Become a winning player AT LEAST at NL10

My deposit would bee somewhere around 600$

Tnx!!!

Hi I am not new to online poker just haven't played that much

I play now at Everest poker and looking to deposit 200$ at a different room as well

1. NL2, NL5; PLO2, PLO5 (PLO is preferable but not a must)
2. 6-max
3. I'll be playing 8 hours a day
4. 6-8 tables
5. I have the time now to play a lot and would like to just move up the stakes. What I am looking is good traffic and soft tables.

Thank you for your response

I saw PKR offered a flat 30% rakeback in addition to the exclusive race which already seems a lot better than the PokerStars rakeback system, however after trying out the PKR software I was just bashing my head in the wall trying to get the interface to work as I'd want it to, and eventually decided against ever depositing there (also I don't like the 3d table view and other useless stuff in there that's supposed to be fancy).

Anyhow, don't want to write a wall of text here. I'm looking for a new site to play at that offers a better rakeback opportunity and more strategypoints per rake $ than PokerStars (so virtually any other partner site) that has good traffic in the MTSNGs and MTTs.

1. Which game type you play? I onl...the 45 and 180 man MTSNGs on Pokerstars. Is there anything similar on other sites?

2. Which limit do you play? My bankroll was $600 a week ago, now it's down to $500 after a downswing. Playing $3,50 SNGs on Pokerstars, going up towards $5-7 soon.

3. Short handed or full ring tables, or even Heads-Up? Full ring

4. How much do you play? In the past 15 days I've generated $78.7 in rake on the $2,5-$3,5 SNGs, so around $160 a month. Once I go up in stakes, I should be getting close to $300 per month (or at least $225 if it's $5 SNGs on the site in question).

5. How many tables do you want to play? I play 6-9 tables at a time.

6. What are your goals for the next 3+ months? I want to improve my game in the MTSNGs and start playing MTTs as well once I start making good profits off the MTSNGs (already tried a few $4-5 MTTs, didn't get ITM yet). I want to get up to the $10 and $20 MTSNGs eventually, when my bankroll gets high enough for them.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi Kukkakeppi,

Im sorry to hear about your bad experience at PokerStars.

When it comes to 45 man SNG's etc PokerStars is the clear favourite when it comes to traffic. Its a shame that their VIP system isn't as rewarding as some other partners.

There is some action at Betfair for the 45 mans and also at PartyPoker.

Both will have less traffic then Pokerstars but it is still possible to get some games going there.

Both have first deposit bonuses, Party's is for $500 and betfair is up to $2500.

If I was going to choose I would pick Party as they have nicer software in my opinion.

Let me know what you think

Callum

Hi JesseTholler,

Welcome to the world of online poker

You would really enjoy playing on PartyPoker.

They have great traffic for all the games you want to play such as small stakes tournaments and so on.

You will also get a $500 first deposit bonus to help boost your bank roll.

Make sure to sign up using our link so that you can get strategy points and unlock video and strategy articles to help you make your way to NL10

Hi BeatYouTwice,

If you want a mix of NL and PLO then William Hill is going to be a great choice.

They have great traffic for both game types along with pretty soft games.

If you deposit $200 you will qualify for a $400 first deposit bonus that will add some extra returns for you.

Good luck

Callum

Hi KiromanAAKK

I would suggest playing at Titan Poker.

Besides Party/PokerStars they have some good traffic for full ring.

The benefit of Titan over Pokerstars is the better returns from the VIP system for Titan players. You will also get a first deposit bonus for 200% up to $2000. This will add a lot to your returns from the room.

Good luck

Callum

Hi Natrilis,

As far as I know Ipoker is the main room that offers microstakes HU cash.

So I would suggest playing at William Hill.

They have a lot of traffic and with a 200% first deposit bonus up to $2000 it will help to boost your roll!

Good luck crushing HU!

Callum

Ok, I'm reposting because my previous post was invisible , or maybe I posted in the wrong format :f_p:

1. Which game type you play?
No Limit Hold'em, Cash.

2. Which limit do you play?
I want to play NL20+ there. My normal limit is NL50 but I'll start a bit lower and see how things go.

3. Short handed or full ring tables, or even Heads-Up?
I'm looking for fullring traffic.

4. How much do you play?
Enough :), I need to achieve gold status, maybe platinum, depending on how things go and how fast I'll be able to advance.

5. How many tables do you want to play?
9

6. What are your goals for the next 3+ months?
Make more money? _smile:

Hi BadeaCelRau,

I see that you have accounts on Party and WilliamHill. How did you find the games there? They would be my first choice for a player looking to play NL20 FR.

It may be best if we have a chat on Skype about the different options.

Please add me Callum.Noble.PS

If you don't have Skype then just let me know in this thread :)

Hi HaliwLwuiA,

I think you would enjoy playing at PartyPoker. They have great software and plenty of fishy games for you to choose from!

They also offer a $500 first deposit bonus to give you some extra returns!

Good luck

Hi, I've been around here heaps but want to do some more bonus whoring and I have used up all these sites:
Party, WPT, Stars and all ipoker sites

I'm a little bit stuck as to where to go next.

1. Which game type you play? (No limit? Sit & Go? MTT? PLO, Fixed Limit, Other?)

SNG's

2. Which limit do you play? (example: NL25, SNG $11, FL .50/1)

Starting with a mix of $10s and $20s, willing to mix 3 limits at once in quiet times

3. Short handed or full ring tables, or even Heads-Up?

Prefer full ring but will play 6's to get in volume

4. How much do you play? (e.g. I play 3 hours a week, or I generate $1000 rake/month)

1200+ games/month

5. How many tables do you want to play?

Sets of 10

6. What are your goals for the next 3+ months?

Crush $10's and $20s and move up to mix in all the higher ones that run on whatever site I choose, hopefully whore a first deposit bonus at 3 sites in the next 6 months

I will deposit between $800 and $1000

Hi Bradomurder,

Im suprised you havent tried Ongame yet! They have one of the biggest FDB's. If you play at BetFair you can get up to $2500. If you are depositing $1k you will get 36% on top from the FDB along with the VIP system that is descirbed in more detail here.

They have good traffic for SNG's so coupled with the FDB/VIP system you should get some great returns!

Good luck

Callum

thanks, yeah betfair was my next planned move but I thought I might as well utilise this thread and just check. Traffic was my only real concern

wow that rakeback deal is on top of the FDB? that is amazing

Thought I'd post this here again, I don't think I'm able to handle the variance of MTSNGs after all so I think I'll go back to STTs which are sort of my bread and butter. Playing $7 ones on PS atm. Is there any site where they are even easier and where the rakeback is better, plus good traffic on the low-mid stakes?

Thanks again ^^

Hi Kukkakeppi,

I still think Betfair and PartyPoker would be good options for you. In terms of traffic Betfair is going to be slightly better so I would go with them.

Good luck and I hope variance swings the right way for you

Hehe thanks CallumN. Party's FDB + vip system sure sounds a lot more appealing than PS, however I apparently have created a PartyPoker account a couple of years ago to play some freerolls, however I never deposited. I read from the PartyPoker thread that you have 120 days from account creation to be eligible for the First Deposit Bonus, so I guess I missed my chance? Would've been really nice though, could definitely use the StrategyPoint from depositing, plus the 4.5 strategypoints / $1 in rake sounds a lot better than Betfairs 3 / 1...

I never have played Betfair, yet it won't even let me put my username on the site http://www.pokerstrategy.com/betfair-poker/download/ Is this some sort of bug?

If I can't deposit to either one of your suggestions, what would be the next one up? William Hill seems to have decent rakeback plus 5 strategypoints / $1 in rake, how are the SNGs there?

Hi Kukkakeppi,

It may be easier if you add me on skype so I can answer all your questions

Callum.noble.ps is my skype.

William Hill is also a decent option. As far as I know the traffic is better for SNG's on Betfair but in the grand scheme of things you should be able to get enough games on either site.

Callum
