still waiting for my damn moneys to arrive in my account
well im still clearing my 770 free fiddy but im getting closer. and im really loving HU cash atm despite high rake. firstly, i get to clear the bonus quicker, but more importantly im playing against many different people and i feel like i get a better feel at identifying what they are up to and then adapting to exploit them. that said, im still a massive HU fish
but i get to play like 70% of my hands so it means i get into some tough spots. think i will consider developing my HU game for the future.
i spoke to a friend who i havent heard form in a while yesterday and he asked if i wanted to play a HU game with him on stars. so i wound it up and we got playing some nl2 cash (my bankroll was only $10
). i've played him before but somehow all my notes were gone from him so i had to start from scratch.
he was hard for me to work out at first cos im usually not playing thinking players, but i didnt try to get too fancy - i just cut myself off from the fact that we know each other and tried to play as i would anyone else. my general observation was that he was really aggro pre but passive post and it took some adjusting. although im sure the game would have been much harder if i didn't pick up some complete monsters:

the reason for my minraise was that he was playing back so much and when he wasnt he was treating it as a standard raise, so i made it my standard opening - no reason to open 3x when he is 3betting me like crazy.
i raised the flop for value thinking 2pairs are in his range. having said that, given how he was playing preflop i think this is a wrong assumption. he would have 3bet such hands preflop. but anyway, his 3bet on the flop scared me since he was playing so passively postflop. every time he raised me he turned over a big hand, so i called and decided to re-evaluate the turn. not much to add when the turn came - but even though i turned the nuts and it's so easy to play, i don't like his shove! i think it's really bad given his hand. no weaker hands will be calling and no stronger hands will be folding. he has almost 0 fold equity there while i have a heart very often here. i actually would go for a check/fold on the turn if i were him - no matter how much that sucks. possibly even a bet/fold but definitely i dont like the shove.
after the session my stars bankroll is almost doubled (WOO!) so i get to start playing nl2 zoom i think and not even MSS ♦ 10BI is enough
anyways, i hope the money comes through soon so i can start grinding out on unibet
