thanks guys! It is really crazy how fast 2 months has gone. But, I have to admit i cant wait to get back to europe for a bit. So many things I miss... 
Still have til saturday before I go to manilla, and then a few days over there before I fly back to sweden. Most likely going to take most of it off from poker and just soak up all the sun I can

Truth. Although real fans hate the teams direction at the moment. Gillis' actions are so bush league and the development of youth is non existent. Real fans don't even want to watch next year. The difference between the real fan and the non real fan is the real fan will still watch every game just waiting to have his heart ripped out by another one sided deal, another rushed return of Kesler, another premature playoff exit, and possibly luongo gone for possibly next to nothing. Did I mention I'm a die hard Canucks fan?

wasy8 final thoughts on Cebu
So as most of you have kinda figured out (unless someone in the house binks a big 5 figure MTT score) we failed pretty hard on the 2 months 2 million thing. I take a decent amount of the blame on myself, I didn't produce results and it wasn't just because I ran like dogshit (which I did too). I put in a lot of volume at the house, but I played so many empty games. If I were to break it down, I think I played 10% A game, 30% B game, 50% C game, 10% D-F game. That is a bad combination when you play as many regs as I do, since I definitely have an edge on all of them when I play my A game, but not so much when I'm not thinking and playing my C game. Overall, including rb/bonuses I was down $2.8k in the house (not including the $1k I dropped in Manila at the start of June).
What I've taken from this trip poker-wise:
a) I need to stop playing empty games. If I click register on the lobby I need to have my full undivided attention and turn off skype/facebook/forums. If I need to put in volume at less than my A game I should be avoiding regs that I would have a 1-4% ROI vs at my A game.
b) Skype study sessions with good regs that I respect are super profitable and I need to do more of them. I did a few of them this month and found spots that I was missing as well as finding big leaks in other games.
c) I value my home setup much more after the trip. Having a big monitor and a good solid ergonomic chair adds a comfort level that translates to $ for sure.
d) Related to (a), I need to do a better job of evaluating my edge vs certain regs. This means putting in less hours vs regs and more hours opensitting and waiting for fish. Absolutely doesn't mean I'm going to stop playing regs altogether, but I need to be playing less of them. It can be very difficult for HUSNG regs, but it's crucial I stop letting my ego dictate who I play. There are certain regs who I've played a lot in the past but are making mistakes fewer and farther between.
What I've taken from this trip outside of poker:
a) I really enjoyed living with vonki, Robin, Dave, and Marc. All of them are quality people and were great travel partners. Highly recommend them to anyone who wants people to travel with in the future.
b) The Philippines on a surface level is a country that is an interesting mix of gorgeous and ugly. The urban areas can be depressing with its severe overpopulation and poverty. On the other hand, the scenery in the provinces is stunning and breathtaking. It feels like despite the overpopulation, there is still a decent percentage of the country that appears to be untouched.
c) Filipinos are, in general, just happy people regardless of their circumstances. It's amazing to me that people can have such a terrible quality of life compared to N.America/Europe, yet be so much happier. I started writing a long thing about why I think this is, but it sounded like a poor man's Haseeb Qureshi monologue because I'm not that good a writer. So I'll just say I've been doing a lot of thinking about happiness and expectations - maybe I'll write more about it in the future if people give a shit about what I think about the subject.
d) Obv whatever I say here is a general statement and not applicable to everyone, but Filipina women are so much different than Canadian/European women. A lot of them look younger than their age and a lot of them act like it too. They have much less self-confidence than Canadian/European women, and are almost totally submissive to their boyfriends/husbands. That can be a good or bad thing, but confidence is sexy and most of them were lacking in that area. However, they're also more open/playful in the bedroom than Canadian girls, and that's pretty awesome. There's a pretty high admiration for foreigners, and by that I mean they're basically throwing themselves at any white guy they see. Both Robin and I got followed around the mall by filipinas at different times literally begging to give us their numbers, and they weren't ugly either. I didn't find any girls who were datable material, but Robin and Dave both managed to find good girls so I'm happy for them.
e) Dateinasia is a free dating site we signed up for when down there, and provided some great fun. Robin was the first to sign up and had about 50 messages overnight. So we all followed, except Dave because he already had a girl. The site is full of textbook examples about how not to create a dating profile. Seemingly every girl is a "simple girl" and wants a "god-fearing" man, which isn't particularly good for an atheist like me. I'm sure they would've overlooked it because I'm a young white guy with money though. Also they all talk about getting married and having kids ASAP, and that scares the shit out of me. Most of them describe it in an interesting version of the english language which makes for lots of lols.
f) The ladyboys - holy shit there are a lot of them, and they are a funny bunch. They seem so confused as to why white guys prefer real girls - well, I'm not totally sure, but it might have something to do with what's hanging between your legs. A lot of them are pretty obvious (like they're not even trying) but some of them are really hard to tell and actually looked really good. So disappointing to have a conversation with someone on dateinasia and then have her say at the end 'ahhmmmmm well do you like ladyboys?" Sigh.
g) Celebrity lookalikes - Turns out I look like Zac Efron and Robin looks like Tom Cruise. Marc was told by a taxi driver that "you look like my hero Harry Potter!" which was hilarious. I don't think Dave or vonki got any celebrity comparisons unfortunately.
I'm sure there's more I can't think of right now, but I'll leave it at that. It was an awesome trip that I'm going to take a lot of great memories and new friendships from, and I'm really glad I went. That being said, Canada is and always will be home, and I can't wait to be back.
