Welcome students! In this post you will find a brief guide to the NL Beginners Course - visit the links below to get all the information you need about the Course.

The Course Overview page (This is the main page of the Course, where you will find all the necessary information and links that you might need.)

The Locker Room (The place for your Private Learning Thread, where you keep in touch with your coaches, post your homework, etc...)

The Coaching Schedule - Bierbaer
(You can find out when the next live coaching takes place, approx. every 4 weeks)

Our teachers:

Veriz

Veriz was the head teacher of the NL BSS School Basic - the predecessor to the NL Beginners Course - and thus already has first-hand experience in conducting such educational projects. Veriz is a professional hand judge at PokerStrategy.com for almost a year now, and is well-known for his tireless work in hand evaluations and coachings. Veriz has received a lot of acclaim during the NL BSS School Basic, where his clear and relevant advice has helped a lot of students to shift their game up into the next gear.

Hasenbraten

Hasenbraten is one of the most famous coaches at PokerStrategy.com. With his precise and thorough didactics, Hasenbraten produced a great many videos for our students, among them such famous poker-staple series as Crushing NL 50 for example. Hasenbraten was also the video coach for the NL BSS School Basic, and will continue making educational video materials for the NL Beginners Course as well.

Bierbaer

Bierbaer is new to the project, but not to coachings or handevaluations. Bierbaer plays poker since 2005, when he began as a Fixed Limit player and developed into a regular at the NL200 tables. He has joined the handevaluations team 2 years ago, and hosts live coachings since this year. He will be joining Veriz both in coachings as well as homework tasks.

There seems to be a mistake with the repetition...

Thanks, I corrected it despite that it was pretty obvious what was hidden behind the coaching-schedule-link.

Hi Rastlin1,

The course is ongoing so you can join in at any time :)

Once you open your personal thread and fill in your homework for question 1 you are ready to go!

Best of luck with the course, the feedback has been truly amazing and I have no doubt you will be crushing the games in no time at all!

Regards,
Gary

Hey, what happened to the BSS School? Like the orginal one with the 250 person sign up.

I was looking for my locker room thread from it, but it doesnt seem to be here anymore. Even tried using the search tool!

They were archived I guess. Do you need them? I could see if I can do something about it.

I was gonna have a read through because I'm gonna have some time to get back in to poker, but I guess it would benefit me more to just do it again!

So don't worry about it, thanks for the response though!

Hi:

Is the beginner's course still available ?

Otherwise I guess I will check out the BSS Basic.

I just joined and I don't know if I need to try and upgrade my status from basic yet. I don't really need any frre poker cash right now, lol. I think I would rather have bonuses and/or rakeback.

I guess I will upgrade as I need to, to get access to the courses.

Thankyou

OK thank you, but same problem.

When I click on "course locker room" which is the registration, it goes back to this page in an endless circle, as someone earlier posted.

I will check back, or feel free to use my email if you like.

Thanks again,

Kashclicks

Once I finish beginners course I will move on to others.

As I see actually the link is available only for Bronze members. :( Do you plan to get first starting capital? Here is the link for instruction: link.

Hi,

is the Beginners Course only applicable to BSS cash table play or would it be beneficial for SnG play also?

I ask because I have just switched from BSS cash to SnGs and my game could do with some improvement and I wondered if this course would be a good starting point.

I am a reasonably experienced (but not particularly good) player who worked my way from NL2 -> Nl4 -> NL6 -> NL 10 -> NL 20 -> NL 30. I have moved to a new site for me, starting with $100 BR, and switched to SnGs because the cash tables are far too tight for my liking.

Thanks
