UTG JJ or AA

Standard 3x raise with both of these hands, if at a particulrly aggressive table where I know someone will raise after I might limp or min raise with AA hoping to get raised/3bet and disguise the hand but that's rare. Usually, every hand I deem playing I play for a 3x raise, that way people can't read you as easily preflop.

Always a 'table' raise. The fact you're asking suggests you might be inexperienced and playing micros. Play to the table whether you have JJ or AA. As you go up the levels you'll know anyway, it becomes more standard

Edit...ooops, I was speaking pre-flop 1st to act only. You can still 'Table' raise pre with JJ but you'll have to come to your own conclusion if 3bet, Obv doesn't play like AA.

my post doesnt mean that i dont know how to play this hand in UTG pos, like i said im just curious how others play this 2 hands. i have my own approach on how to play this 2 hands. just want to know if others play it differently cause JJ or AA are totally different hand pre flop in a UTG pos.

of course! when you're 3bet while holding JJ, there may be a case for folding.

other than that i don't get what you mean really. against thinking players you don't want to open AA for 4x and minraise JJ

But, but, but....
The two hands are VASTLY different.

You would likely open raise each by the same amount, but the similarity breaks down after that. How you play in response to a 3Bet is much more player-dependant with JJ, than w/ AA, for example. Who 3Bets you is even more important -- "who" in this case meaning the position and table image of the person 3Betting you.

How you play post-flop differs too, and again depends too much on the other players to give cut-and-dried answers.

Is there any particular reason we're ignoring KK and QQ?

The way this guy played, I thought he must have a small pp and maybe hit a set.
When he raised on the 6 though, he had me wondering.
I had to call the river though, because on the river, I figured my crappy two pair were probably good.

I tried to slow play AA against a TAG reg, unfortunately another guy got his 2 pair but that happens on low limits. On the higher limits though the mental part is a bit different imo and I'm so happy it is all ABC poker for me ♦
