Spoiler

$15.21 pot ($0.68 rake)
Final Board: A A K 5 4
BB showed A Q and won $14.53 ($6.95 net)
Hero showed A J and lost (-$7.58 net)

villain is 15/6/0.7/0.0/133

I put him on a flush draw or an ace
The reason I shoved on the river was because I figured if he had me beat he would of bet the river for value against weak ace or a king? I dont know why i thought that with 0.7 AF

I thought he'd call this shove with a worse ace or KQ even

hi

imo if your calling mp1 for set mining we dont have the implieds as he only has 6x his bet left then the BB squeezes and MP1 shoves, this is usually my cue to fold

What do you expect the BB to squeeze with here definatly JJ+,AK, maybe AQ, do you have reads to say villain is looser, and what do you expect MP1 to have when he shoves it in? Does TT still look good against these ranges?

As played on the flop after BB checks you shove. what is the purpose of the bet value? protection? bluff? What weaker hands would call here, what stronger hands would fold. If BB range is as percieved then we will never get a stronger hand to fold so its a ballence between value and protection from overcard hands AK, AQ. On that flop im probably sticking it in aswell but as I said i wouldnt be in that spot in the first place

Lol just realised the hand shown dont match the question but I'll go with it anyway :f_cool:

(Disclaimer) This may not be correct just my thoughts

I did misplay that hand in question tho, i have changed it since i also misposted the hand lol.

But my thoughts on the hand you saw were based on the fact that i didnt see the guy raise to $2 and the guy who reraise him allin was huge fish!

Hello Vip3rNZ,

You should still bet the flop bigger & raise the turn bigger. We want to protect our hand, we don't have the nuts. :) But as played vs his stack shouldn't be a problem.

Best Regards.
