Is this a good line with this hand. i reraise him on he river because he is not rapping any hand i think? is this right move or not?

Hi all,

This is extremely spewy play. Our opponent can quite easily have an 8. Hands that have an 8: random flushdraws, 87, 88, 86 and T8. Unless you really believe his sizing is weak, we're just going to run into hands that are too strong too often. Even if he is weak and just has two pair he can decide not to fold it also.

yeah i was thinking that this play have to work something around 55% to be profitable.
maybe he is never bluffing here but it tought that he wil not have an 8 or 2 pair more then 45% of the time in this spot.

He was a supernova and i was thinking more what i should do (what was wrong to think). i should play something like 8xs (heart) betting flop bigger IP and ship turn with Open ended staight and flush draw.

BTW: he shows 8K of heart.

if his result is that he shows up with some weak two pair, or tankfolds or something then this can be an OK play. but if he can ever have 8x here (literally, if he can EVER have it) then this becomes quite bad because he has too many 8x hands here. keep in mind our opponent doesn't need a straight to call us. generally in tournaments i try to make people fold in situations where we handread and we know they are weak.

repping hands is less of an issue in my opinion. I am happy to put lots of money in on this river as I assume unless I'm told otherwise that my opponents cannot handread. But I would look to find spots where it's hard for him to have 8x. If we changed this around to our opponent: is the button, bets the flop in position for some size, turn brings the straight (it's checked around), then river bricks out and he bets after we check to him. I'm fine with making a check/raise in that situation (although I'd more likely just bet the river myself).
