I have developed very little respect for money

Hard to care about £20 when you just 6bet jammed $400 with K6s

Yeah lol, everytime when friends/ppl I know say they just lost 20/50/100 bucks on the casino/sport betting/roulette etc I want to say "I've just lost $150 by 5bettingAI with A3s"

But I know if I say that they won't understand lol

HAHAHAHAHA

I got the hidden message.

But seriously, I was one immature kid before I started playing poker. I really didn't dedicate to anything -- I failed high school (grade 12), I was also unmotivated.

I just stayed in my mom's basement and slept for the whole day and just just shit all around the house. I started playing poker -- lost a lot of money and I told myself then that I would make it all back. It was a promise I made to myself and I still keep that at heart to this very day.

I went back to school, got my act together, read some poker books, joined pokerstrategy, bought Hold' em Manager, and tried to change my view point on life (I was a pessimistic person).

Even when things got tough, I never gave up because I know that I can battle through the hard times and persevere through whatever fell on my road.

Of course my last statement sounded corny and I'm glad it brought smiles to your face. I wasn't lying though.

Poker helped me be more time efficient, rational. Because of poker I pretty much stopped caring about things that I have no influence on. It's welcomed rather strange by friends when they go about some specific thing like "Why the hell do you care so little" and I'm "Why should I care?" they respond with "Well it's gonna have a huge influence on you."
This is actually the strange part.. I know that the outcome of something might change my life pretty drastically but if I can't do anything to influence that outcome I don't care that much. I do try to analyze the possible outcomes and try to figure on how would I deal with it but until it comes I'm cold towards the subject.
This makes other people sometimes think I'm irresponsible or whatever but it's their own logical fallacies.

There's more ways how poker changed me but I just wanted to talk about this one
