Thank god full tilt is back!! ♦ That means another $3.5k which I wrote off as bad debt to this business of playing poker.
I couldn't match the crazy volume of last month but that's not a problem. I had some university work to do, trained a lot, and visited some friends so I didn't waste a lot of time (unusual for me and really happy to be able to say that) . I ran under EV but still managed to stay around $20/hour so I'm very happy with how things are going.
I have lots of things going on for August. I have a good bit of university work to do. I signed up to and Ongame skin to see how are the games there and I have to clear the bonus there ($1k rake). I wanna get good at hyper HU because from sharkscope, that's what the biggest winners in poker are playing nowadays. Also signed up to a Micorgaming skin to see how games are going there. Have to/Want to clear the bonus there too. I am also going on holidays at the end of august for a week. And i want to somehow keep platinum status on 888 too (perhaps win an Mtt which awards platinum ♦). Also, University is starting mid-september and i wont get much time to play, only about 50-60 hours a month IF i am very productive. So I have to learn 9 tabling (only 6 now) so that I can keep raking $2k per month. I also want to keep training 5 days a week and start doing ab exercises for a six pack. I also want to learn to speed read, I am on weak 2 of the 6 week spead reading challenge. Tough month ahead.
August Goals

Always hated hyper turbos...was (am?) under the impression that your edge is greatly reduced.
Looking at your results though...hmmm....
Can a person have a decent enough edge in this format?

These hyper turbos attract beginners who think they are just a lottery...So you can get a very decent edge but you have to table select well

This seems to have worked very well, had a very profitable month (2.5 times more than the goal that I set for myself)
I will do something similar again to bring some rungood (rungood? goodrun? i don't know...)

They don't even have that rungood switch when you deposit... i redeposited halfway through the downswing and no rungood at all.. so rigged 
now i have to deposit again to try get the sign up bonus

I will use a different format for August's review:
Bad news: Endured a downswing of over 100 buyins in the 1st half of the month.
Good news: Didnt cry/Half of the downswing was at lower stakes than usual/Recovered to finish the month with a profit.

Bad news: Not as much profit as I targeted.
Good news: Kept Platinum/$400 rb/Volume.

Bad news: Not very profitable.
Overall: Interesting new games to play for variety/Different ideas made me a better player/Cleared $500 bonus.
Future plans:
Bad news: I need to work on my mindset on dealing with swings/It will be difficult (but I will try hard) to keep up good volume during uni starting in September.
Good news: Still making more money than I could with normal job/I actually enjoy my sessions mostly cuz of videos/audio tracks listened to during poker sessions.
Today I attended a 2 hour coaching with 2 hours due tomorrow evening.
Bad news: Learned very little/Feels like a waste of money.
Good news: Nice to have reassurance that my game is solid.

that's harsh, is the word coaching that's bad? Would saying free lessons would avoid any problems or is it about the meaning?

That's plainly idiotic. Guy gives away free coaching.
You shouldn't allow people to talk about sweating sessions either then.
I guess next time just use other words wich dont involve "coaching" and ull be fine
