I know how this idea feels !

Yesterday I recruited my powers and returned to Zoom-Fullring after spewing hard in 6max zoom.

I managed to win 37$ (7BIs) in 1 session !

But then . . . (There's always but or then , ha ?)

I played dota2 and then watched some video with guy playing 6max nl25 and I was like, heckk I'ma try load some non-zoom 6max nl5.

and so I did ! * although I knew I might spew money again *

and so I did !!

After 3BI down, I understood I gotta shut down my drive for 6max and play FR fulltime.

And so I did !

But (There's always But, remember ?)
I lost 3BI more in zoom FR as well !

Eventually all my 37$ profit was cut down by 32$ loss.

Yeah. So ive thought about if i really wanna continue depositing $ while having absolutely no self discipline, and no motivation to learn about it in poker terms. Ive decided to take some more time off and really question whether or not im here to gamble or play poker. As my history indicates, im here to gamble. I dont know what im going to do. But right now ill probably spend my time doing more productive activities in my free time. My bday is this sunday. The party is on friday at my place. At least i have a life outside of poker i can always escape to when the gods of poker are sickening Me. Deffo gotta work on that mental game if i ever want to play long run poker though. For now its back to living. Ttul all!

Well, I'd say you must have some level of self discipline to take a step back and look at this objectively, so that must shine some light down the tunnel, surely? :)

Have a great time on your birthday magic, I for one do hope to see you back here blogging and playing, but only if you're ready for it.

Very best regards and again, have a great time! :f_love:

Mal.

Itss not at all slightest bit of self discipline, rather mere common sense, and the saying..."Insanity is the disease of doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

In your case, I disagree.

It may be insanity if you're not simply expecting but you're rather SURE that next time result will be different.

btw; There is some self-discipline in your decision to quit poker for now.

Peace and love in whatever you do and touch,
Boris.

Well i kept thinking i was going to stop managing my tilt by playing until i was busto. I kept thinking one of the 9 times i deposited/got free $ that i would actually start implementing stopp loss and brm...should it take 9 times to figure it out?

ok all you poker addicts. I'm back and ready for another go after a nice cooling off period which included working, hanging out with family, playing live, hanging out with friends, and my favourite, smoking weed and going to the beach..seperately of course!!

I started a new job. i am now a resident care worker at a nursing home making a cool $14.75/hr I feel so good to be able to help those old folks out they are like my grandparents lol.

I also return to school on aug 27th to further pursue my RCW career.

I heard this amazing song yesterday on the radio...had to put it on blast cuz its sooooo dank plz check it out with loud bass

i finished my first session +3 BI after playing 4 $1,5 sng's just to get back into the swing of things, and the results were fantastic, 2 wins.

I'm working on completing my next reward because im at 93% and i get $50 when it completes. Thats what i'll be doing this month when im not working, doing family stuff or smoking. im trying not to smoke before i play. i can save it for after i take a bad beat or whatever for a quick cool down if ever need be. nothing calms me down more then a nice little puff with the ol girl :P

sounds like a well deserved break. and congrats on the new job

smoking + plying is probably not a good idea!!! i can imagine the levelling that must go on in your head when you're in a hand!

Update

Online acct:$0

In more interesting news, i played a live cash game that my proud papa bought me into on tues night. Nl 50 fr. It was nl2 quality players and i was up $37 and walked away after 2 tiring hrs. Best hand was a family pot where i flopped a set of 4's on a Q74 rainbow $$$$$$$$$$$$ baby. First to act bets i call. 7 folds.
Turn:Q
guy bets $4 i raise 4x, he calls
river:3
Guy bets 8.5 all in i snap it,

Villain: QK -$33$

Hero: 44 WINS $35

Yay!

Another was
hero dealt KK $67
Villain dealt ?? $20

ALL IN PREFLOP :)

For now i will continue my internet hiadus until school settles. For now its the nl50 live game and the casino live tourney. Theyre so much more fun.

so i went to Red's again on tuesday. +$35 after fees.
Hand of the night was when :
Red's .25/.50 NLHE
hero has K :heart:6
Villain has $75
Hero has $60

Hero opens in MP for $1.5, 4 calls

Flop: 4 :club:5 :heart:7

Hero Bets $5.25, villain raises to $11.50, hero raises to $26.50, villain calls $15

Pot $59

Turn 7 :spade:

Hero Bets $33 and is all in. 1 Fold.

I've been playing at PLO25 for the last 5 days, its been going well. deposited $25, lost it to a bad beat. Deposited $25, lost it in a cooler...

Deposited another $25 and its now sitting at a cool $295 :D:D

playing a game i have no experience other than PLO5 hehehe. today on a PLO10 deepstack ante table i played up to $110 before cashing out lolsss!!!

some fantastic hand choices to choose from so here are a couple of my personal faves brought to you by "BOOM" player:

My $75 win with 27xx

my win with another shit starting hand

why i love this game!! Flush vs Flush

i dont know what the hell im getting into here...but i feel like i have an edge in the plo25 limit, because i am fresh, exploding with thoughts and have a good read on my opponents so far. i have a good enough understanding of odds and have enough $$ to finally be playing at this limit consistently. $25-$50 is what i feel most comfortable betting right now. if i can somehow keep this up that would be nice!! Been making some really skilled plays out there too, beyond luck.

Now im going to take a little time away from the tables to wait till i come down from cloud 9 knowing i can play poker again regularly :)

heres another hand brought to you by the boom hand replayer.

this time i have a nice hand :)

double suited $78
