I'm back in Sweden since the 31st of july. I came down with a pretty severe ear infection on the plane home, and finally am starting to feel fully recovered. Unlucky, one could argue, to come down with an ear infection on such a longass flight.

However, I am so so happy I made my flight, and my heart goes out to all the philippinos. The very same day I left manila, typhoon Gener broke out. The very same strip below, is the strip my cab drove me past at 3 AM going to the airport. Hours later...

The typhoon is still affecting Manila pretty badly, and 50% of the city is under water. It feels so unreal how close I came to getting stuck in such a disaster of nature.

I really just lack words and my thoughts go out to all the filippinos... at least the pokerplayers in Cebu are safe.

Thanks guys :)

I keep getting told I should update my blog so might aswell do a small update!

I've booked tickets to go to Denmark for monday! Will be visiting Mathnes and nubbe to play some poker, hang out and have a good time. Really looking forward to meeting the both of them and am sure I will have a great time! :f_love:

Apart from that life in Sweden is busy, got 3 birthdays in just over a week. Playing some poker, studying, reviewing... switching back into SH a bit aswell lately, which feels good :)

I've been looking around for a new flat but there isnt many around in this town. It's getting darker and the colder days certainly affect my energylevels. Whilst looking around for a place I also realized that I'm looking in the wrong place. I wanted to escape the swedish winter, and with good reason. So now the plan is to join/start a pokerflat on Malta. :) If anyone is interested, add me on the community or leave a line here!

Also thinking about trying to qualify for the live Swedish championship of poker which is held on Malta. If the aim is to move there anyway then why not? :f_biggrin:

After a few motivating words from one of my friends, being that, when you work with yourself and personal developement, start with the toughest part and the rest will feel alot easier. Having given it some thought, fear is one of my biggest enemys. I worry too much. Fear of being inadequate. Fear of what others think of me. Fear of putting myself out there. Fear of failiure.

Thats why, I'm going to start facing my fears. :) Having thought about what could possibly be the toughest thing for me to do to kick things off, I came to the conclusion that the answer to that is: Throwing myself out of a plane! In other words; parachute jumping. Not only because I am scared of hights, but I also hate not being in control of the situation. And there's only so much I can do when I'm freefalling with my life in the hands of my instructor.

That's whats new! Hope ya'll are doing good too :) :f_love:

xoxo

omfg, skydiving, seriously? I am scared of heights as well, actually more like vertigo as I get fever and near pass out in certain situations :f_biggrin:

I don't think I could do it, I think been awake during the jump is a requirement, ain't it?

Malta sounds great :) best of luck for this plan. But why would the Swedish poker championship be held in Malta and not Sweden?

Yes, seriously I usually get lightheaded and near fainting in some situations too and Im not sure I can actually pull the jump off but I think I owe it to myself to try.

It's held in Malta because there is a state monopoly on live casinos in sweden :P I also think the 21y legal age plays a role, as where in malta its 18 and the taxation might be another factor. Im not sure really, I just know its been held there a few years in a row now =)

The 2011 swedish pokerchampioship was held in Latvia, too :P

I'd love to skydive, it seems awesome.

I tried bungeejumping, it was boring :(

Kind of weird finding today.

When I got back from the philippines, my mom told me that our cat, who was expecting, had probably given birth to the kittens somewhere outside, and that shes away all the time and only comes back to eat and then leaves again. Weve all taken turns over the past weeks trying to follow her when she leaves the house, and we all get to the parkinglot, when she spots you and just stops.

A few days ago, our neighbour told us that he saw her crawl into one of the garages on the parkinglot. We've been on a lookout for the owner, without success. Turns out, they were on vacation and only just got back today. They were quite schocked at what they found in their garage;

Five 3 weeks old, adorable kittens!! They are already really social for not having been around people, and i just love love love the one on the left! She's so cute and she fell asleep on my arm today :f_love:

We now really have a full house. :f_biggrin:

they are, arent they?! I miss them :( Have been in Denmark since monday morning.

Having a great time here, finally got to meet some ppl who I've known from the community for a long time, and I have to say they're all amazing people! Yesterday we went out in copenhagen for a 3 course dinner, bowling, air hockey and afterwards to a pub. Bit of a hangover today but was well worth it :)

Back home to Sweden and my kitties tomorrow :f_love:
