6h session at cake
Hey Galvin,
I have a couple of questions on two hands? Fist the JJ hand @ NL50, pre your set mining? As he's so tight? Any thought's on the river ship, do you put him on AK and are trying to move him or just random ATC?
Also @ NL200 QTo, what are you trying to rep? I only see 5 :club:4
or T :club:9 :club:? Or would you be potting a set/straight on this river?
Is the turn not a good card to give up on, as does it not hit his range quite a lot?
1) Half set-mining but I intended to call on all low Flops once, I think this guy cbets AK and then gives up on later streets
2) River barrel was bad with QT on the flush completing card, I think that this guy floats a lot on Flop and even though it's a bad coordinating card, I still have gutshot + 2 overs and I think I can push him off a lot of those weaker hands by the River.
Not so important what I rep, but I think his range cannot stand the heat.

lost at cake again after running bad
Still waiting for my run-good to come. I thought today was the day when I ran my stack up but luck turned bad towards the end. Only managed a $5 profit

I'm experimenting with chatting during all-ins. My guess is that
Nits like to convince themselves that they should fold
Stations like to convince themselves to call
So regardless of what I say "Call!" or "Fold!" they will mindfuck themselves.
So I 3barreled on a low board in a 3bet pot vs a nit on a 97728 board and I said "Fold!". Then he tanked for a while and put me on 87 ![]()
bmlm: "Fold!"
villain: "I think you have 87
villain folds

I did a lot of nice induce plays today and made quite a lot.
1) How can you have a real hand so often? (45% 3bet vs BU)

Starting to win some now, I hope I can keep up my wins
Can you expand your thought process on the 1st hand OTR?
I think that his range OTR contains sets, 67s and flushes and some Jx like AhJh,KhJh,QhJh that he decided to x/r flop.
so we have 4 combos of 67s, 4 combos of Jx, 9 combos of 88,55,44, and 7 combos of nut Flushes and let's say 4 combos of other flushes.
You bluff 222 to win 196 so you need 53% fold equity
If he folds his sets, Jx and 67s which is 60% of his combos then it is a good bluff.
Is that your thought process?
Thanks
i think im just mostly looking at sets here, i had the Kd blocker and his sizing was indicative of a non-flush hand so I opted to bluff expecting him to fold 70%+ of the time.
Anyway I just recorded a HU match for fun. Played some 1/2 play money Pokerstars Homegame with my school buddy. We were playing playmoney cos I didn't want to pay rake, ended up losing 1.75 buyins (18 SGD).
2 playmoney chips = 10 singapore cents

lost a lot of money, just couldn't get anything going
talk about run bad
I got dealt into a milestone hand!!!!
BUT
it was at the first 2 min of my session. I didn't earn a single cent and ran like shit losing 2k in 3 hours.
Might have been a bad decision to 16 table (since zoom hands aren't included)
I have lost touch with playing so many regular tables after playing zoom for the past 3 months
@juanchapi: I guess it wouldn't be fair to the regular table players

Contains detailed analysis for about 3-5 hands.
In an email conversation I read from someone about this, stars claimed that a large portion of the milestone promotion, including the reason they stop the table before the hand actually gets dealt, is that it's an observer's spectacle as well, and people can see it play out.
On zoom, it's not possible to observe hands, so it would lose a lot of the allure and part of it's purpose.

Played quite a lot of HU (5-6 hours) today and yesterday after I met up with one of my Warcraft/Poker Friend. He bumhunts a lot at HU so I decided I'll do the same for a while (on my rest days) and also to mix up the monotonous zoom poker sessions. I still need to come up with some sort of routine (like maybe bumhunt on HU while playing Zoom).
Not faring all that well in HU so far, given that
1) I play mostly regs in the past on my Iphone
2) not adapting that well, esp vs the maniacs. I find myself unable to fold the K2o and J5o from the SB against those crazy 40-60% 3betters.
I think I finally found the perfect combination of how to approach poker. I realized that I should just 4-table Zoom instead of 6-table. I can focus a lot better and anyway my volume is pretty high already (12 tabling equivalent).
It also makes it a lot easier to sit out on all of my tables when I do get action for HU. Managed to win 500 at NL600 from a somewhat weak opponent. He wasn't a fish I think, but had some significant leaks like 3-betting too much. I picked way too many bad spots to 3-bet and 4-bet cos he always woke up with something to shove over me.
