Hi CallumNSry if someone already asked this.
I am looking to play HU Hyper SNG, currently on Stars.
I would like to know if there would be a better place for me to play. In terms of volume, skill of players and rake/rakeback.
Also you guys think that the volume of players on stars should send the message that there are a lot of weak players and that should keep me there even if they don't have a good rakeback offer?
Do we get any rakeback from Ipoker at this point?what about 888?How is their vip sistem? How much do i need to rake to get a good deal?
Stakes 1.5 up to 7
Thanks
For Hyper turbo's, you have the following options: Revolution(cake), Yatahay and 888 (besides stars obv). These sites offer the structure stars have and that you are used to.
Revolution network is mostly US facing site but if you do your research you can find sites on their network that dont accept US players, meaning your money is safer there. From what I've seen traffic's okay there at the 3.5 level (same buyin levels as stars btw, as well as rake for the most part).
Yatahay's a pretty small network, even compared to revolution. They have $3.00 + 0.10 hypers which run mostly late at night GMT time(as most of the traffic is from US). And there dont seem to be more than two running at the peak times....
888 I would avoid like the plague if you're planning on playing hyper HU (unless playing highest stakes). I admit I fancied giving them a go and then realised how badly rake will be killing me. For example, the rake on the $6 level is 6.67% which is pretty ridiculous for any HU sng - let alone a hyper format. Plus their VIP system is dire
Ipoker have their super turbos which to be fair are poorly structured - blinds increase every minute, steep increases, 5% rake as well. BUT, paddy power(on this network) is the ONLY skin offering hyper turbo headsups. They have a pretty decent structure - 800 starting stack, 2 min levels (mostly similar to stars) and 2% rake across all buyins($1,$3,$5,$10,$20). Unfortunately the traffic for these is pretty non-existent at the moment. I've raised the issue with iPoker that they need to make these network wide in order to attract more players but we will see if they'll actually bother doing anything to improve...
