Spaxxan,
As I should recommend is join place with our Great PokerStrategist at 1st, we could let's say you playing mainly Cashgame, so Philipin is 1st choice (not the coolest place but there are some our PSer over there. Why, you should try to communicate with them, have fun, that cool.
and Vietnam, you just google "Vietnam beautiful" and you should have a look at this beautiful place. It's depend you want to live on the highland or beach, hot or cool place, grass or sand, lake or sea, girls or business . Nha Trang, Da Lat for example, everywhere but not Capital though.
and somedays Gods know you want to build some hotel, invest in agriculture...

I'd say Thai is not bad place, just don't to through your time to playing their game too much.
or go to south, one day, why not, there are Australia, New Zeland.

Did anyone know the weather there in okt-mars ? Mutch rain? Pretty sunny ?

Are you still planning to come to Gibraltar? Let us know if you do decide to move over, so we can show you around the office and introduce you to some other poker players that live around here.

I think I'm coming down in mid-October, had been really nice to meet up :)

You can certainly answer some questions,

How is La Linea which city? 've read pretty much bad about it: (
What is the range of pubs, night clubs, etc.? Girls? ;)

What about the people who live there? Nice people?

Are there any nice beaches for swimming, etc.?

Grateful for answers :)

Hey, sorry only read this now!

Sure, I'd be glad to answer your questions:

La Linea isn't the best part of Spain, some stories you have heard might be true, but in general I think people exaggerate a lot! I've lived there myself for half a year, and never had any problems. Many colleagues still live there, and I never heard anything bad from the people I speak to.

La Linea has some bars/clubs, but nothing too fancy or big. You won't have fedde le grande or Tiesto playing anytime soon, if that's what you're looking for :P. However, you're relatively close to Estepona and Marbella/Puerto Banus where you can actually find big clubs with famous DJ's.

Most of the local population in La Linea doesn't speak English, so if you don't speak Spanish you might have some difficulties meeting up with Girls or sorting out things in everyday life.

There are certainly beaches in La Linea. The Mediteranian side is quite okay, though nothing compared to Tarifa (50 km drive from La Linea).

What is your reason for actually moving to La Linea and not to Gibraltar itself? I'd recommend living in Gibraltar as a pokerplayer (no taxes, playing on .com rooms). In Spain, they just legalized and you'd be able to play on .es pokerrooms (which can of course be fine if this is what you're looking for). If you then decide to live in Spain, I'd recommend living in Alcaidesa/Sotogrande/Manilva/Santa Margarita which are all small villages very close to Gibraltar as well. The good thing about those places is that you pay the same, but instead of an apartment, you'll have a house with several bedrooms, a garden and a pool.

The only downside of living there would be the distance to travel to Gibraltar, but if you don't actually have to go there everyday to go to an office, this shouldn't be a big problem.

Yeah, Spain is definitely cheaper but if you have a drivers license I would really recommend to look just outside La Linea in one of the mentioned villages.

Some renting agency's in Gibraltar:

Hills Property
Richardson
Bray Properties
GMI Homes
Rosso
BMI Group
Bentley
S&P
Property World
BFA
Seekers
Chesterton
ESS Homes
Mulberry Homes
