Hello all. I have never taken the time to write a blog or set myself any kind of goals in a month but I thought October would be a good time to do that.
My name is Jack. I'm 29, English and have a full time job working as a civil servant. I have played poker on and off since I was 18, always loved the game and just recently have had a good string of success hitting the level I would love to play at.
In January I signed up for Poker Strategy to get the free $50 and get back in to playing after a couple of years away from the game. Starting out on Poker770 I binked a tournament within a month for just over 1k and decided to redeposit on everest to play through the bonus. Succesfully played SH omaha through 0.25/0.50 and 0.50/1 whilst taking shots at 1/2 and built my roll up to 6k.
On the 10th of August I went to play in my first live tourney this year at Dusk till dawn a $200 Blackbelt event, I finished 2nd in it for $10k, Loved every minute of it, never met such a nice bunch of poker players and got the bug for live poker 
A month after I had some leave from work and headed up to Newcastle to play the UKIPT there, scraped through day 1 then God mode kicked in... managed to go into the final table as chip leader but unfortunatly my AA got crushed by JJ AIPF for a monster pot. Finished in 7th for $21k. Felt a little bit sick about it initially then came round to the idea that its just another 20k for the roll and was over the moon. Also did a radio interview for talk sport going into the final day which my mum got very excited about (lol).
The week after I headed down London to play the Unibet open and finished 19th for $4,5k Couldnt get anything started that tournament and played most of it with 10-20BBs so was chuffed with the result. I then managed to satty into the EPO at the fox club for 200 quid... rubbed shoulders with the pros, many big names of English poker were there and felt like I was in a dream 
Managed to bust out of day 1 in the final level 5 bet shoving A9 into JJ with 30 bigs, kinda spewy but meh!
Which brings us up to October and a roll of just over 30K. Currently playing 1/2 SH omaha on a couple of sites and really want to push out the volume this month as I have 2 weeks off work again. Also managed to secure a seat in UKIPT online on the 14th which im very excited about!
Aiming to play 1000 hands a day and not get distracted into playing Diablo 3 when things arent going so well 
Also me and my brother have agreed to stay off the drink and go down the gym.... Cant be a bad thing
