Hey lads and gals, whats up?!
Thought I'd make a little update for once!
First of all, I have been getting some questions/remarks about me having quit playing poker. I want to clear that up, NO, I have not stopped playing.
I just cut down my playingtime dramaticly (or well who am I kidding, I wasnt rly playing much anyway) to try to figure out wether giving up poker was the best option for me or not.
My conclusion: No, it's not!
I have been going through some rough patches, both on and off the tables and I questioned wether I should seek a more "social" and "active" source of income. Some people already know, but I struggle with mmh... "depressions" sometimes, at which point I get incredibly affected by my lifestyle choices. If I dont go out and socialize, eat well enough, sleep well enough, work out etc I get to a point where I cant even push myself to play poker even if I'm running hotter than the sun. How I'd feel when I ran worse than a horse without legs, you can figure out yourself.
Probably doesnt sound like poker is the best fit for me. That's the easy reply, and the easy way out. I dont think Im known for taking the easy way out
All it means, is that I'll have to work the harder to achieve my goals. That means, fixing everything that in any way disturbs my productivity, mood, energy & motivation. I've already implemented a few steps to my life. Step 1: Dietary changes, including cutting back on alcohol to a bare minimum. Step 2: Start working out regularly (I now go to yoga/aerobics/dance classes 3-4 times with a friend, which I might increase at a later point - this also makes sure I increase my social life wether I feel like it or not). Step 3: Stop smoking. Step 4 will be to sort myself, and my pokerhabbits out. I need to make a more detailed plan for this.
Step 3 will be implemented today. I have 1 cigarette left, which I intend to enjoy in a bit, and after that I have my nicotine patches ready to go. I've quit smoking before and there's not a doubt in my mind that I'll make it with ease. The harder part will be to not start again.
My new, improved self and life has begun, and I couldnt be more excited. As a cherry on top, I have gotten to know the most amazing, kind and wonderful guy on the planet.
Whats even better; he tells me every day what an incredibly kind, awesome and amazing person I am too
tldr; No, I didnt quit poker. I'm alive and kicking, and coming back with full force!
That'll be all for now! Hope you're all well!

xoxo
