Sons of Anarchy - probably the most underrated show.
One of the best series I've ever seen and each season gets better unlike most TV series that lose their plot.
Boardwalk Empire and Breaking Bad are good too.

From your to watch list I'd prioritize Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead. Dexter is ok, keeps getting more and more silly with each season imo.
Still I'd take Game Of Thrones over any other series out there. Based on books, no fillers, no character is rly the main who couldn't get killed at some point etc, good acting and filming.
Seeing as Suits was mentioned an awful lot we thought we'd give it a try!

It's certainly a bit different than most of the other tv series I watch (Person of interest, Breaking Bad, True Blood)..
Got first series of Walking Dead ready to go nearly put it on so many times but i keep putting the next ep. of house on instead 
Just go for it already 
Even my gf loves the show and she usually hates anything remotely scary.
Btw, to the fans of walking dead I'd suggest giving a try to "Jericho" I found them pretty similar in that they both deal with how people try so survive and adapt after world as they've known it goes to shit.

I think a couple of people would disagree with you, like you know, the vast majority of people who have ever come across this series! ♦
Either way, I think it's pointless to bash shows in this thread, especially without arguments. I mean it's not like you're going to convince someone who likes it to stop watching it.
On a side note: it's a shame that Alcatraz only lasted for a season.

Has Alcatraz been cancelled? I saw the first 4 or 5 episodes and it looked alright was planning to get back into it
