lol, wouldn't mind buying some of your action.

good idea ^^ Timor, will you sell 1k?

Sure. I'll give it to you for 2k :P

Someone suggested that, even though Party doesn't allow money exchanges, I could still go to Vegas anyway, let them register me for the Main Event and unregister myself 5 minutes later. I think that's what I'm gonna do, because I really don't feel like playing a 10k buy in tourney with 3000+ players.

However, since I do want to play an event to kinda go for the experience, I think I'm going to play event 52 (NL Hold'em 1500$) instead.

I'm still waiting to hear from PartyPoker though, I'm sure they'll get in touch with me but I haven't even received a confirmation email yet that I won the package. So that makes me kinda nervous :P

I received my confirmation mail today. It seems like PartyPoker does allow for an exchange in cash after all. So what I'm gonna do is this:

- Exchange.
- Go to Vegas nonetheless and play event 52 (NL Hold'em 1500$ buyin), solely for having a good time and having had the experience. The rest goes into my roll.
- If I cash more than 30k in event 52 (place #20 or higher, a guy can dream, right ), I might play the Main Event as well with that money.

I'll keep you guys posted.

Nice plan, but the problem is that the $1,5k events have a crappy blind structure. I played this event myself last year and it was "push or fold" after three hours of play. To compare ME and Event #52:

In ME you get 20,000 starting chips, have two hours per blind level and blinds start at 50/100.
In event #52 you get 3,000 starting chips, one hour per blind level and blinds start at 25/50 (50/100, 100/200). So if you don't get a hand in the first two hours, you have around 2,4k chips and the blinds are already 100/200. And depending on the table you will only see 60 hands in the first two hours. Lady Luck has to be there I guess!

But anyway:

I wish you good luck at the tables!

Hmm, valid point there Puschkin. Guess I didn't really think about the blind structure, assumed automatically that it'd be decent. Apparently it's not, so meh. No event then I guess, just going to Vegas.

I do. Will you stake me? I promise you half of my earnings.

I'll stake you for 1/10th of the entry ($1k), for a 65/35 split in my favor, to be discussed if you're interested :) I'm sure you can get enough people to pay for at least half of the entry
