hi,
preflop: fold - call is ok too, i guess, but dont 3B, lets see what judges say
flop: as played, bet/go broke - sizing ok
turn: as played, bet/go broke - bet bigger to 500
river: as played, check/fold vs big bet, check/call vs small bet - with showdown value, way ahead/way behind

Versus normal size raise call would be best, but versus minraise I like that 3bet. Postflop is fine. Though I would size turn bet bit bigger. River shove is best. With check you would allow him to check behind with some hands you have beat (that would still call shove) but you can't really check-fold with this low spr.

hi ghaleon,
the low SPR is created by the big 3B (and call) pre, correct?

as played, on which street are we committed? flop (220) or turn (380)? edit: i mean can we get away from a bad turn card after leading flop? can we get away from a bad river card after leading turn?

when you say "but you can't really check-fold with this low spr" which street are you referring to?

Well 3bet size is pretty normal. To 100 is like absolute minimum size that make sense. Reason why I like 3bet versus minraise is that as default open raiser range is bit weaker when he use such sizing and with call we end up easily in 4+ way pot that I don't really like to happen with AQo. Of course 3bet makes SPR lower for postflop.

If turn is bad (like K) then we can bet-fold or check-evaluate. When we bet turn there is basically no rivers that we can let it go. Well except like K  perhaps.

I referred earlier to river.

*this is why i said fold pre vs open-raise, call isnt any good and 3-betting is a mistake imho, AQ is a solid hand but are we playing for stacks with it 75bb deep?

ok we've got blockers vs AA/QQ/AK but are we really going broke vs a 4B shove behind from anybody? and its hit or miss postflop with AQ

**imho 2nd barrelling a bad (like K) turn card OOP is spewing, c/f as default for me, maybe if we're IP 2nd barrelling is an option

***ok i see pot odds situation on river, but for me there are more rivers that we should get away from besides Kh

thx for detailed evaluation

No without some maniac reads we are folding to 4bet. But in general if we face 4bet there is very high probability that villain has real monster, e.g. AK, TT+ at least.

But we have pretty good chance to take down pot preflop without further resistance. We have initiative. Villains don't usually get too creative in 3bet pots so cbet will take pot down pretty often and as you said AQ is solid hand. Especially versus randoms who often overplay hands like AT or KQ.

Versus someone we know (e.g. reg) we should be more careful, but random villain in micro game? I would not be surprised at all, if villain in this hand would be calling turn with T9 (no flush draw) or AJ/KJ/JT. Also I don't take those hands out of his range totally just because he flat 3bet.

about preflop i agrre with gallion.

the turn bet is it small or should i get it bigger? thing is if i bet bigger i should go all in cuz it will be so obvious that i have atleast TPTK donks would folding their ex. flush outs i obviously commited in the turn bet a donk who dont know odds will just plain call .. push on the river was the plan from the turn

Bet size is fine if we look it from stack size view, but I am not really interested of that when versus unknown. I want to make it size I assume villain is still calling with his draws. If we shove I think villain will find fold much more often. Shove would be like 1,5x pot after all. My sizing would not be much different, around 440. So more like cosmetic difference :)

This is interesting hand and I like the way you played whole hand.
It was good of you to isolate with 3 bet since if you just called many more players could enter the pot and then your AQ is not in good shape. If you do however get 4 bet here you have easy fold and you move on.
Flop bet is ok , you are building the pot and want the player to stack you by the end of hand.
If your opponent who just called 3 bet was good reg, he would let you value town yourself with his set for example. So we have to besides taking action in our hands consider what is opponent calling us with and not raising.
On river you hit your two pair and now you shove for value to get call from random Qx or weaker two pair hoping that opponent doesn't have straight completed or set.
Overall interesting hand but I believe it is more important to consider opponents range and line then your sizing here.
