Haha you are probably right mate!

Today has been ok. Finished up around $300 but lost $350 last night so nothing too special.

Every blog I read seems to be about looking (or not looking) at the cashier atm. So tomorrow I am going to try and go the full day without looking. Usually I look ALL the time and I don't think it really affects me that much so it is more of an experiment than a desire to change the way I operate at the moment. Will give my thoughts on it tomorrow night.

I'm very guilty of this aswell, I think it does have an affect though.

Either, winning doesn't feel good, or I just think "wooo" I'm still down $x amount.

Although there has been a few sessions where I have just kinda zoned into the games and not even thought about the cashiere. It does feel better playing this way, as it stops you from worrying about losing even more if you're down. And worrying about losing you're profit.

You here anything back from the job yet?

I'm back to 10 btw :f_frown:

Hey Gxtwo,

Yeah going to try and ignore the cachier all of today and see what it's like. Although on 888 it is shown in the lobby and I can't work out how to make it go away haha.

Got the money that I withdrew today in my rl account so need to make a decision. Was pretty set on unibet but realised I can't get sp's there because I already have an account. Thinking about 24 hour poker now.

Really surprised that I received a second interview for this Aldi job. My interview isn't until the 4th of December so I have a couple of weeks to assess poker/whether I want to work for Aldi. The thing is that poker is my DREAM job... but my brain is telling me that I should take the job and stop being such an idiot. I mean they are 5th on the times top 100 for graduate employers, only behind the likes of PWC and KPMG.

Weird hand from yesterday. Villain is reg but opener is fish. Hence why I decide to just flat pre. I have position on the reg and wan't to try and keep the fish in the pot. I could 4 bet but it looks so strong that the reg might even fold hands like TT and JJ that he will stack off with on a low flop.

Flop is obviously not great for my hand and when he checks his range looks like:

TT, JJ, QQ, AA, KK (unlikely when I have KK) AK (unlikely when I have KK, plus I think he would bet this flop) and AQ which I think would also bet the flop. He maybe has a very small amount of bluffs but these are probably very limited due to the fish being in the pot and not likely to fold to a 3 bet.

Turn brings the nut card for me. Now I beat AQ and all the combos that I already had beaten. Don't think there is much point in raising. Will fold out his TT, JJ type of hands that may bluff river if I just call. The question is, is there any value in raising the river? He may even fold AQ and all his bluffs I beat anyway. Maybe I am just being results orientated but I'm just not sure if there is that much value.

Brutal day. Down 8 buy ins. Missed all draws and got coolered a few times. Also played bad in parts. Oh well, tomorrow is a new day. Let's rebuild the roll. At $4.5k for now.

Poker going a lot better the last couple of days and managed to get my roll back to where it was.

In other news, have decided to stake StaticMoth. Pretty confident he can crush NL25 and make myself and him some easy monies :f_biggrin:

Cool hand from tonight. Unorthodox lines FTW.

In brief:

Played a little bit online yesterday and broke even or so.

Played at the casino last night and won around £60-70 after expenses.

Played a little today and up around 2 buyins Even though I ran KK into AA

Going to play at the casino again tonight as it was really fun last night.

Staking of StaticMoth due to start on 1st December :)

Casino hands:

Actually so card dead all night. Had QQ once and AQ once, that's about it in terms of premium hands.

I raised with QQ and got 4 callers. Flop 774. I bet out 60% pot and get 1 caller. Decent young LAG player who had position on me. Turn is another 4. I check and he insta checks behind. River comes an 8 and he bets £15 into £55 pot. I quickly fold. He told me he had a 7 after and I believe him. Makes sense as he is never floating flop with 2 other people left to act. Only other hand I put him on was 56 but that got there anyway so easy fold :).

Another interesting hand. Drunk guy bets £5 UTG blind. I raise to £20 otb with 3d4d figuring a lot of the time I just pick up his dead money. He calls. Flop comes 445 and he insta ships Obv I call and he has J7o :f_confused:

Not really many other interesting spots. Made a couple of pretty bad calls and one silly bluff, but nothing too major. Going to try and play well tonight :f_biggrin:

Played at the casino last night and won around £350. Perfect passive table. I played really lag and kept getting paid off. Although I made a couple of really bad calls :( Thinking about going again tonight. Three nights in a row, such a degenerate!

Internet down until the end of the month which means no poker for me :( Will maybe play live on Thursday night but that will be about it.

Live poker going pretty decent on the whole. Made a couple of bad plays yesterday where I called 3 bets oop and caught a little piece of the flop. Called flop and turn and then folded river

Still not sure what is more profitable for me: online or live. Only had 1 losing session out of 10 playing live but I have ran good and a couple of times I have played when I was pretty sure the table wasn't all that profitable. Hard to say.

So november has been a fairly decent month

Overall, I believe I am up around $4.5k, although hard to say as I am very bad at keeping track of my spending, and merge my live roll and my life roll. (Which will stop this month) I am officially an NL100 reg now :) having played almost purely NL100 this month. Volume hasn't been great, but this is mainly due to the fact I have played a bit more live poker. Think i'm up around £600-700 live. Here is the online graph for the month

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Obviously ran good as per but do feel I am a comfortable winner in these games :f_cool:

November Goals:

- Have another winning month at NL100
- Play 50k hands of online poker
- Keep track of spending/live poker winnings

Let's hope it's another good one!

Thanks Doc!

Played first online session for a while today and went pretty badly. Finished down around 1.5 buyins. Bad start to the month :( HUD wasn't working so going to get poker tracker 4 set up.

In other news, have the final interview for Aldi at 10am tomorrow. Hope it goes well as I sort of have my heart set on that Audi now

Hey man just finished reading your blog really enjoyed it, keep on crushing and GL in the interview.

I just have a question, I see you have played most of your poker on 888 and they haven’t been tracked by PS for quite a while (not quite sure how long) so I was just wondering what you are doing for study?
