I'm only 158cm so I'm a tiny creature compare to these guys
Haha! I would feel tall around them I think! Now just to not get a haircut for the next month and I'd fit in perfectly!

Wow, can't believe it's been a year since the previous Advent Calender! Where's the year gone?! ♦
Its just my game selection obv. Just got to choose smaller people to stand next to.

As we're giving things away, if anybody can name 2 people in this photo that don't already know the people, i.e guessing then I will tell them a secret about poker that players don't want people to know.

Today's special guest is Pavel "Cornie4ever" Stehno who has been an inspiration to all of us at PokerStrategy.com. Pavel came to Gibraltar in January 2011 to be a one man show for the Czech community and after successfully building his team and managing the Czech Business Unit he received the honor to be taking his next step in his career. In September 2012 we welcomed him as the Business Unit Manager for 9 other communities. He is involved in numerous project in the company making PokerStrategy.com a better experience for all of you.
I've asked him a couple of questions to let us know how he felt about the past 2 years within the company, poker and next steps.
PokerStrategy.com: Hi Pavel! I’ve had many of my freelancers contemplating what your username “Cornie4ever” means, would you mind explaining it to us and also introduce the story how you got involved with poker and PokerStrategy.com then?
Pavel: Heya, very good question for the beginning. Let me give you couple of options so that everyone pick his line with highest EV ♦
1) Cornie is the name of my beloved dog. I bath him twice a day so that his hair is very soft, brush him 4x a day and go running with him every morning around the rock. We also crush dog-beauty contests together

2) It´s based on my preferred corn bar, out of which clearly best one is the banana flavour (anyone disagrees?) and if you are going to ship a tournament, it won´t happen unless you demolish at least 5 bananas2go on the way
3) Cornie is a bad evil character from LARP game, he steals, lies, manipulates and sometimes even murders people. But his ultimate purpose is always defined as positive and he will end-up in heaven.

PokerStrategy.com: So What do you think, what is a difference between any other poker schools and PokerStrategy.com?
Pavel: For me it has always been the great community of people around it. Valuable discussions on forums, smart people with different and enriching opinions and lot of fun every day.
PokerStrategy.com: Are you still playing Poker? How do you see the games from years ago?
Pavel: I do play a bit. Games got tougher, but up to NL100 it is still nicely beatable for a guy who has poker as a side hobby. From NL200+ it requires already more dedicated approach.
PokerStrategy.com: Moving forward in your career, now responsible for several Business Units (including the English Community), what keeps you challenged from year to year at PokerStrategy.com?
Pavel: I love my job, like doing things around poker and working with nice and talented people. I learn a lot every day. So that makes me happy when getting up in the morning and going to work. (even if it´s after busted MTT session on Sunday night ♦ ).
PokerStrategy.com: Are you planning a new Poker challenge in 2013 similar to the one you’ve had this year climbing from $50 to $10.000?
Pavel: This was a beginner learning path project in CZ community and it gave me a nice feeling to finish it after almost 1 year of effort. So I´m going to enjoy it and I don´t plan to push myself to bigger challenges in a close future.
PokerStrategy.com: What advice would you give to any newbie starting up poker in 2013?
Pavel: Read articles, watch videos, attend coachings, analyze hands. It still works
The only thing that pulls us back is the limits we create for ourselves in our heads. ![]()
All respect for being such a brave, enthusiastic and adventurous person Pavel. Looking forward to seeing you around the English forums more often!
