Hey,

Ive just finished reading the whole thing, took me a while since i read a single page every now and then. First of all great blog, a lot of great knowledge and motivational stuff + a laugh every now and then :)

I'd like to use this occassion to thank you once again for all your hand evaluations, they've helped me a tonne. Ive always really appreciated the fact that youre one of those judges that actually put a lot of effort/time into almost every single evaluation and don't mind an odd discussion until everything is 100% clear. Thanks a lot!

Sorry to hear abt the nasty end to the Ongame Adventure, your mindset must be great to overcome stuff like that. Hope youre enjoying whichever format/platform youre playing now and that one of those days we're gonna get a juicy update :)

take care!

I can't even express how flattered I feel about you saying all this : ) To me, that's one of the best compliments poker wise that I've ever had. Thanks again and I am glad you find both my evaluations and blog useful and interesting. My ongame experience was decent at the end of the day, somewhat like 25k+ or so.

As for an update- I was thinking about it and for sure I don't want to end blogging. Even if I decided to do so, I will have decency to say it's over. Not just shut it down and remain silent. I was super busy in the last 2 months. I pushed myself close to the limit in terms of playing hours, working out. I still feel good though and I've completed my goals. However, I don't think I am gonna make monthly wrap-ups with winnings shown anymore. Too many people I know in person read this blog, but what's more- I think it's hypocritical, I think it's vain. We post results to get the recognition, the better results you have, the more admires you get, the shittier the results, the more negative the comments are and people towards you. Which maybe makes sense. But it's vanity. To me, it's not pure. I don't need this kind of attention. What I prove, I prove to myself. I don't need compassion when I am down, I don't need motivation coming from the outside to get me going. But, if I can set a good example, I would like to do so. Although, it's still related with my ego.

Putting goals and thoughts in a written form, however, is a great help to understand yourself, the fact that there are other people that read it, makes you feel committed and responsible. In that sense, it's very helpful. It's also great to see how you started and how far you've gone. If you, of course, did the things the right way on the road. A great example of this is <3. I hope I get there one day as well. We will see how it goes in my head, but I wanted no distractions, no unnecessary questions. Just purely focus on the game. That also contributed for me not updating. But maybe I will at the end of the year with what games I play, what my future goals are and so on.

Cheers!

Time to break the silence, guys! I ended my last session just a bit ago, but it's getting very late over here, so I will try not to make this post too long. Basically, I was very busy in October and November by having 20 straight grinding days in both months.
In October, I just took 2 days off all in all, reaching 175-180 of playing hours. I am happy I pushed myself, although it has pros and cons ofc. My stamina has never been my strongest part and mixing 5-6 hours a day 9-tabling plus gym makes me feel tired. Really tired. Somewhere in the middle of that month, I decided to switch back to pokerstars and aim for SN with having about 3/4 left to complete. I didn't and still don't have plenty of time, but as long I keep the games in the 30-100$ range, I should be able to complete it around the 27th of December or so. Hopefully, nothing stays in my way, so I will reach it!

As I mentioned before, I don't think I will be making monthly reviews anymore including winnings as it makes me feel uncomfortable for a few reasons. I missed the blog though. Putting updates and spending some time organizing your thoughts in a written form I always find helpful. It's motivating and refreshing. However, at some point I felt like I had nothing more to give. Things I posted, monthly goals, jokes and stuff, they all got the same. I somehow also enjoy privacy a lot and having way too many people I know in person reading the blog made me feel like I am being interrupted. Ofc, there is no one to blame. I started the thing, it's me who decides what and when to share.

So, what's more is that I am pretty sure I don't play my A game as for this moment. I am making a lot of small mistakes, sometimes even bigger, sometimes I misclick or don't pay much attention to the situation. I really need to find a way of making 9-tabling for 6 hours a much comfortable experience. Cuz as I said before, I do this for a bit too long, I mix it with going out or gym and I feel all dried up and beat already.

Anyway...that's that. I feel somehow rusty making an update, it's strange. I don't know what to put it.

Let's just make it like this:
-October was a great, breaking record month for me. I was very pleased with both results and amount of work I put.
-November, I was already getting tired, being very impatient, got sick several times, plus some bad run and I had to wrap it up as a BE month or so. Some like that. I gave myself a week off abroad and it was good times.
-December is super swingy so far. Kicked off with 1.2k+ just the first day, then went down to minus 1k at some point :P Today though, was a good day. So this is how I am gonna end up my first update for the last few months:

Prolly next time, I will update once more, will be by the end of the month!

Cheers!

Nice girraffe!

Knuckle down, make SN by year end and then you will have all options open to you next year.

E.g. if 9 tabling 5hrs a day is making you really tired then, after December, you can always consider dropping 2-3 tables while you work on eliminating the small mistakes and getting back to your A-game.

Whatever you chose to share in your blog, your posts and updates will always be anticipated with excitement!

Tim

Thanks again and finally!

It was very exhausting 3 months, 2 of which based purely on reaching SN. I will do the year recap sometime soon and in the meantime:

hello mate, jus found your blog and had a quick read through. Good read :)
will be following in the new year. I noticed in one of your posts that you said you have trouble with not seeing your balance when regging for games, I got around this by just usign a little bit of electrical tape over the bit of the screen where the cashier pops up. aslong as you leave the lobby i nthe same place the cashier box will popup in the same place aswell
Check my blog out if you get a spare minute, I grind 6m turbo sngs on stars

I didn't expect to get as many congrats, but it's definitely a good surprise. Me and you know that reaching SN ain't a great achievement or something, but it's a must for an SnG grinder and I still spent ~310 hours in 2 months time, so it was a decent effort.

@bristolboy-sure thing, you can also leave a link to your blog in your signature, will make it easier for eveyone to find it/read it.

Cheers!
