A video Blog of your "trip" would have been fantastic

I wish you cool holidays and a relaxing time back in Europe with tha family. SNE is quite a grind but ofc possible with PLO midstakes. I personally could have never grinded PLO HU only, it's basically the most intense game you can find on the interwebz. PLO SH as main game and mixing in HU when feeling like it ftw imo.

Thanks boss, great holidays to you too.

Any travel plans during Xmas-NYE? I'm not totally sure yet about what to do when I'm back in Europe.

I don't think people wanna see a vid of me shaking, sweating, swearing, crawling to every corner in my room and then crouching in the shower with the tap wide open while still wearing my clothes to end up peeing in my pants.

Aw shit i said too much :f_mad:

Yea so I figured. I was in Antwerp yesterday to visit my brothers student dorm. It is nice though for a chance to go out to the forest and breath some really cold and fresh air :).

I'm going to start the year with the goal of going for SNE. Last month I grinded 60k VPPs and I didnt grind first 1.5 weeks. I also was still able to table select really well and only play like 9 tables. But being able to improve my game and have good table selection at all times is more important. I plan to play a lot of poker though that is why I kinda set the goal of going for SNE since it is possible if i put in enough hours even without multitabling.

@Spaxxan: I only been to Coron but yeah that was an amazing place. It is a very quiet place though with nothing to do (nightlife, restaurants, nice bars etc but is very relaxing. If you are not into the first-mentioned things, you can have a great time there. Definitely a nice grinding place without much distractions. I havent really been to other places in Palawan though. Here some pics of when I was there (I might already have posted them, not sure...):

Nice pics! Lol at the first one. T-shirt, mountain... I see what you did there...

GL with reaching SNE! If I remember correctly, wasn't it one of your goals in the first year you arrived in the Philippines?

I have been thinking about it for 2 years already yeah but I never really pushed through with it. Beginning of next year I will start with the intention of going all the way but if I see after 1 month that it is too hard or interferes too much with my normal playing style etc. I will just leave it like it is.

Off to get some Belgian beers with my friends :f_cool:

Just clicked a bit through old strategy vid's on the dutch part. Came across a vid of Rogier reviewing your FR100 game.

If you look back, how's the change of playing FR100 and now playing PLO1k? Did you expect it back then? :)

Or in other words, how's life. :f_cool:

Hey man,

How was my game :f_biggrin:? I can imagine it being quite a bit fishy :f_p:.

But well yeah I played till FR400 till i decided to switch to PLO. Never really regretted it ever since. I think the game is much more challenging, interesting and far from being solved so its still fairly fishy.

I can't really say I expected it but of course you always want to improve your game and you always want to do better than before, so it doesn't really come as a surprise but yeah definitely something I didn't expect. I will be saying the same though when I play PLO5k next year ;).

Overall I feel really good about today. Was able to play a good amount of tables but still be able to table select really well (played between 10-12 tables). I felt really focused and was definitely still able to make a lot of non-standard plays and think about the game, which still remains more important than the volume+rake obviously.

Plus it is always nice to start this quest with an upswing :f_love:. I plan to play around the same amount tomorrow because I am gonna meet some friends in the evening and go fo all-you-can-eat-ribs :megusta:.

Over and out!

Hey man, actually I cant answer any of these questions with accuracy yet.
At the end of the month I should be able to have a good sample size.

I would guess its somewhere at 500vpp per hour but thats because I dont wanna play too many tables. Pretty sure I can bring it up to 800 per hour but that would mean I will have to start autoplaying and that is not what i want.

Normally my monthly hours is too low, something like 100-120 hours. This is why I wanna do SNE, to increase my volume, to see it as a motivator. At 500/hour this would mean 170h per month which is a little much but definitely doable.

Just try to keep on pace for like 1 or 2 months and judge by yourself if you would be able to do it with moderate effort.

Been grinding a lot last days and its going fairly well. Decided to take a shot on 2k again today since there was a big whale. But as all my shots on high limits in the past, also this one didnt go well :f_biggrin:. But then again, just took a small shot, will try again in one of the next days if the action is good. One thing is for sure, it goes pretty fast on that limit :P.

Most important hand, very solid preflop action :f_biggrin: :

UTG shows T♠ 6♥ 6♣ Q♥ (Three of a Kind, Sixes) (Pre 27%, Flop 88%, Turn 95%)
UTG wins $3,309.00

Very cool hand where I had this feeling that he was trapping, given board outcome, actions and his timing on turn and river. Definitely -EV in a vacuum but went with my guts.

PokerStars - €4 PL Hi - Omaha Hi - 3 players

Won about 20 buy ins today but running bad on high limits makes it that im barely in the plus :P. Had some 2table HU action from a fish earlier today which were some pretty solid earnings.

Only have like 16.5k VPPs or so (pace is 25k or so) but had 4-5 days off already so its okay.

Wanna get like 5k vpp per day for the next week cause Ill have some more days off soon when my gf will come and visit again.

Cheers!
