Hi

Great thread, I should have visited here first before making a massive balls up yesterday. I finally decided to choose a room so I could progress my learning here at pokerstrategy. I decided to go for William Hill, used the promo code, deposited a bank roll and loaded the bad boy up but soon discovered that it wasn't going to meet my needs so made a quick retreat with my money before even playing game. So I suppose I have two questions, the first is can you point me in the right direction for a room please?

I mainly play 9 handed SNGs at 888 ($3.50 & $5.50) and Pokerstars ($3.50)

I really like 888 for its software and SNGs and I like Pokerstars for it's software and MTTS. But I have grown tired lately of the massive varience at Pokerstars SNGs and would like to broaden my horizons.

I am looking for a room with 9 Handed SNGs, decent traffic and soft games. Reading the previous posts I am guessing BetFair would be good??? Any other suggestions?

Also is it possible for me to re-register here if I decide to join another room so that I can take advantage of the promotions and progress me learning?

Betfair has joinned the iPoker network now so it's the same thing as playing on William Hill.

Hi Phoenix

Thanks for replying, I understand from reading the posts here that BetFair is better for SNG's than William Hill, is that still the case? Can you reccomend any other good rooms for standard no limit 9 handed SNG's with decent traffic and softish play?

I don't think so because it is changing network these days and joinning the same network as William Hill, so there will be no difference between them. It used to be better when it was on the Ongame network where I played myself too some times, but now Ongame is dying as the two bigest rooms have left. You may give it a try through some other Ongame room if you want but I suspect there won't be as much traffic as it used to anymore.
Sorry I can't give you more info but I don't really play SnGs, just the odd ticket I used to win on bwin freerolls.

Until now, I have been playing on .fr sites but I'm moving abroad so I plan to play on .com

I will play mostly NL 100 / 200 /400 about ~ 50k hands a month, like 95% of SH and 5% of HU.
I don't care about the level of the opponents, I'm just looking for the best room in terms of loyalty program and rakeback.

I was thinking about PokerHeaven because of the 30% rakeback, rakerace and deposit bonus but it seems like there is not much traffic or?

Thank you very much

Hi Chob,

Thanks for your request. To which country are you moving to?

I would suggest to play at William Hill. Although I'm not sure but I guess you're raking between 5k-10k/month which will give you about 40% rakeback from William Hill's VIP system.

On top of that You can benefit from our Gemstone promotion from which you'll get another 12% and our TOP100 Exclusive rake race which will give you between 4-10% rakeback depending on your volume and position on the leaderboard. You can also clear the First Deposit Bonus which is 200% up to $2,000 and its equivalent to 29.5% rakeback.

Besides this, January and February are special month as we give away double and triple Gemstones and it gives you a head start to the whole year coming. :)

William Hill VIP system: 39% - 43%
Top100 rake race: 4%-10%
Gemstone Promotion: 10% - 13%
First Deposit Bonus: 29.5%

~ around 90% rakeback while clearing FDB and after around 65% depending on your actual volume

The traffic is decent as well and you can easily play on 15 tables if you wish.

To create your account at William Hill please follow our guide here.

You can catch me on skype if you like: ingrid.nagy.ps and we'll discuss this further on!:)

Mainly single table SNG, but like to play NL tables and the odd MTT

2. Which limit do you play? (example: NL25, SNG $11, FL .50/1)

NL 0.05 / 0.10, $3.50/$7 SNG

3. Short handed or full ring tables, or even Heads-Up?

Full Ring

4. How much do you play? (e.g. I play 3 hours a week, or I generate $1000 rake/month)

10 hours / week minimum

5. How many tables do you want to play?

4 - 6 tables

6. What are your goals for the next 3+ months?

Move to $7 / $15 SNG and 0.10/0.25 tables

I have accounts with PokerStars and Partypoker. Been away from online poker so not sure how much has changed. Looking for something forgiving for getting back into playing, but with enough traffic to keep me engaged.

Hi bryanw26,

Thanks for your request.

The best question and the best time :)

Betfair will provide you with great traffic for sng's and if you register before the 21st of January, you will be able to play against both Ongame & iPoker player base after the migration. Please read our overview news about this to have a better understanding of the merge.

I suggested Betfair because like this you will be able to test both iPoker and Ongame traffic/players as both network have good sng traffic for your limits.

Betfair's First Deposit Bonus (up to $2,500) will clear between 23% and 45% depending on which bonus amount you pick. I suggest not to go for the full bonus so you can clear it on time. Do you know how much you rake/month apprx? You can view our rakeback analysis to get a better idea of what you'll be getting out from their VIP system. On top of this we have the exclusive 10k Points race for PokerStrategists.

You can download Betfair from our guide and make sure to follow the instructions.

I hope this helps and good luck! :)

hey 4KYOU, welcome to our community!

I would also suggest to do the same as bryanw26 and follow the suggestions in my previous post.

Let me know if I can assist you with anything else! :)

Thanks Ingrid, this sounds good. Do I need to re-register here so that I can pick up my strategy points or can I choose more than one room since I originally chose William Hill?

Hey! I'm not sure I fully understand your question. To create a tracked account to PokerStrategy.com you will need to go through our download guide to register at Betfair. Click the big green button "download software" and off you go.

You can create as many tracked account as you like with other poker rooms, so you can have a tracked Betfair, William Hill, Unibet etc..

But please note that if you have a previously created untracked account at any of our partner poker rooms then you won't be able to create a tracked account as -re-tracking is not allowed and we don't suggest you open multiple account only for this purpose.

I hope this helps?

Should be obvious to play at FTP/stars if you're looking at 4k sngs/month.

1. Which game type you play? No limit Holdem cash

2. Which limit do you play? NL10

3. Short handed or full ring tables, or even Heads-Up?
Mainly full ring.

4. How much do you play?
2 hours/ day, probably 1000 hands/day

5. How many tables do you want to play?
5-8

6. What are your goals for the next 3+ months?
build bankroll

Right now, i play at Partypoker just because this is my only tracked account. But there does not seem to be any good bonuses or rakeback there. I already have (untracked) accounts at Pokerstars and bwin (it may worth the new bonuses there). From my country, I cannot play at Betfair, WIlliam Hill.
To sum up, i would prefer a site with Euro currency, with decent rakeback/bonuses and in affiliate with Pokerstrategy.
I ask too much? :P Thanks.

You are asking too much . For fullring forget flat rakeback because fullring tables you have on PokerStars, FullTilt, PartyPoker and 888Poker and none of this sites don't have flat rakeback they have VIP systems. For SH however you have microgaming and through pokerstrategy you have 24hPoker, Unibet and Ladbrokes they all offer 30% flat rakeback and currency is Euro but just like I said no fullring tables.

Hey again,

How do you find it then? I think the reason why you're not receiving any StrategyPoints yet is because you need to enter your Betfair Poker nickname here. :)

I hope this helps!

Haha Cheers Ingrid, I finally get access to more videos and articles which is awesome. I do ok at SNGs but have run pretty bad at MTTs lately so I am hoping to improve both of them and build my bank roll up so I can move to higher stakes some day!!

You should start a blog :) so you can keep us updated and let us know if you struggle with something. For example, all these great mtt/sng videos are freebies (status free):
