Right, fold flop. But if you call the flop, then call the turn. This is a bit like drawing to a sucker straight and getting there. With an underfull, you're not trying to win chips; you're trying to avoid losing chips. Look at how your opponent played his underfull - his stats say he is a big fish, but he had the right basic idea here. If you just call the turn, your opponent will probably bet the river then, in which case you should just call, unless perhaps it is a super small bet, like 10% pot, in which case raise between min and half pot and fold if reraised. If, on the other hand, he still checks the river, I would bet half pot (oops.)

You're right, if he checked to me twice I guess it's ok to valuebet, but that lead suggests AKxx at least.

He had the 2nd nuts and his opponent checked PF!!! I think he playing it very badly!!! Starting wih betting only <1/3 pot OTT and mainly the check/call river which I think is the worst play here (I think the only options are bet against a passive and check/raise against an aggro). This hand shows how passive he really is, he is only capable of raising the absolute NUTS!!

By "He" you mean the fish in the SB and by "PF" I assume you mean preflop (not postflop), since that's the only time the SB's opponent (i.e., the Hero) checked. So you mean you would read the Hero as not having AA since he didn't raise preflop. The thing is, if Hero has AA and raises preflop, he's likely to wind up heads up with the button, with the small blind bailing. And that's a bad situation. You shouldn't expect Hero to necessarily raise with any AA (though the SB is probably not thinking anywhere near so deeply.) Hero raised full pot on the turn, so Hero says he has AK, AA, or a bluff. A check-call on the river with AK optimizes EV given those three possibilities.

I would definitely fold this flop against a passive nit, nothing good can come of seeing the turn card with 0 outs to the nuts against a player who wont bet unless he has at least top 2 pair.
