£30 FO tonight week 5 of the poker league hopefully ship this one tonight
I have 8 points after 4 weeks and the top 16 players after 16 weeks will play in the final
about £400 collected towards the final already so after 16 weeks there should be a nice prize pool to play for

the tourney above I busted out just after the break. I was holding AKs utg+2 blinds 4/8k i made it 18k the guy on my left shoves and the button who is covered calls I then call for another 10k
Im up against 10's and 3's and the 10's of the guy to my left hold, leaving me with a 10k stack which I shove the next hand in the BB with J10s
Again I have two overs as i get called by 8's and miss everything again and didn't even pick up as much as a flush draw for a sweat!lol
I finished 11th from 21
friday night past I played another leg of the league and my stack was up and down like a yoyo
my first two hands were AQ and I lost 3k from a 12k starting stack with the first one and then the rest of my stack in the 2nd hand vs AK
I took a rebuy and got a 10k stack which I doubled up within a few hands when I decided big cards were not working out for me I limped with 47o, the flop brought an oesd and I hit on the turn I lead out for 1.8k and got rasied to 5k I went all in and got called by the 2nd nut straight. (Im a bit happier now!)
A few hands later I limp with 10 
7 3 players see the flop which comes J 6 6 
The small blind checks, utg bets 5k I call and the sb calls, the turn comes the K completing my flush sb checks and utg shoves I snap and the sb tanks for 2 mins then folds (two Pair)
so there is roughly between 45-50k in the middle with one card to come
utg turns over 86o, this guy plays every week and he is the worst player you will ever meet, but he is great for picking up chips off like in this spot, however he does catch one of the two 8's left in the deck to give him the house 
That had left me with 13k or so and I just sat and waited for a hand. I went to the break with 6k and on the first hand back I shove with 77 and double puting me around 15k now a few hand later I shove with A9s and the donk calls with K7o he hit a 7 on the flop but I then river a pair of A's puting me up to about 33k and in with a chance again
However I shove 10-15 mins later with blinds at 3/6k with KQs a get 3 callers one guy bet the flop and the others folded he turned a set of 4's leaving me having to hit runner for a straight to take down a big pot but I wasnt that lucky lol
Dont think I will be playing again until the 12th of this month then the following week im in Dublin for the IPO which I cant wait for as I booked my hotel room last week, me and Sabo999 are gona rip it up down there, SHIPPPPPP ITTTTTTT!!!

Well I have finally recovered from the weekend and its about time I updated the blog on the IPO
Sabo999 and myself turned up at the Regency Hotel at about 8.58pm and registered for the 9pm 50 + 10 turbo event. Things started of slowly and then I picked up JJ in late postion with a raise in front of me. blinds were 50/100 and the guy makes a big 7x raise to 700 I called and the flop came down 10 :spade 7 2 
he then lead out on the flop for another 700 I called and the turn came Q he checked and I bet 2100 he called the river comes a blank and the guy bets 700 I have 2400 left and think about shoving because I dont put him on a Q or a flush but there is something fishy going on here and it looks like he may have an over pair so I decide to just call and he turns over KK
so I lost about the minimum here however I am short stacked now and the next hand I shove 77 and lift the blinds. The very next hand I have JJ and the guy to my right limps I shove and it falls round to the limper and he calls and shows 55 and I get the double up
The table breaks soon after and I sit at my new table with about 12.5k a few hands in the blinds are 200/400 and early postion raiser makes it 800 the aggressive guy to my right calls and I look down at AA and reraise to 2100 the first raise folds and the guy to my right goes all in and turns over A 9 and I get a double putting me up to about 25k I then chip up to over 50k at one stage but start to fall as we approach the mony 145 runners and the top 18 get paid but when we get down to 20 everybody agrees to pay the top 20 and im safe in the money
I move to a new table and we are 6 handed blinds are 800/1600 and I have 18.5k in the small blind with 33 I push and the chip leader calls with AK the board comes J 8 8 4 K I finished 11th for 125 euro.
I was happy with how I played but really would have loved to made the final table.
oh yeah I also 4 barrelled bluff a guy with 9 :spade:7 on a board of j 4 Q I raise pre flop to 1200 and cbet the flop 1900 and get called the turn comes a K 
and I think maybe I should give it up but if I fire again he might fold a Q or J putting me on a K so I bet 3000 and he tank calls, the river comes a 2 and I now think he was on a flush draw and think I can get him to fold with a value bet so he checks again and I bet 4000 and he folds after a minute or so PHEWWWW!!!
This tourney cash gave me my first entry on the Hendonmob database also which I am well chuffed at lol

It has been two almost two weeks since the main event so I really should do a bit of a write up before I forget
Well I sat down at table 90 seat 1 at 12.00pm very excited about the thoughts of winning this tourney my confidence was high after cashing in a side event the night before.
I started of well just playing my good hands and my postion. starting with a 15k stack and blinds at 25/50 after two hours we quit for a 15 minute break I had 26k my table was soft and I felt at ease of course a few big hands helped but i was in control.
Shortly after the first break our table was split and I sat down at a new table with about 35k hands were few and far between here so I had to try and still whatever blinds and antes I could the guy to my left tried to fight back once and 3 bet me but a nicely measured 4 bet put him back in his place!lol
The first big hand I played at this table I raised from the high jack with A6s when it folded round the big blind 3bet me and I flat called the flop came A 2 8 giving me top pair and a flush draw the guy lead out for about 2k and I reraised him to 6k he then moved all in for about 16k total which was about half my stack at the time I knew he had me at this point but I was never folding he fliped over AK and I binked the Q on the river to send him to the rail. I then played a big pot against another guy at the table who just seemed to be hitting everything and had a lot of chips in front of him. He raised before me and I called with KJo two of us went to the flop which came 8 9 10 he bets 2.2k I call and the turn comes a J he bets 5.1k and I call again the river pairs the board with an 8 and he bets 5.1k again, so I start thinking why has he bet so small into this pot, my he is afraid but is trying to seem like he's not afraid to keep firing and just dont put him on a Q but the longer I think he starts moving and rubbing his sweaty palms on his legs he looks anxious so I call and he says two pair, I flip over KJ and and he mucks so im guessing he had a 10. Our table breaks soon after and I leave with about 60k
Table 30 is my next table and i end up there for most of the day. I just wait for the hands and play my postion well, eventually I start to just run over the table, in one hand I pick up KK in early postion and raise the cut of reraises to about 4k and I ask him how much he has behind which is about 18k I think for a few seconds and push all in he tanks for a minute before calling and he turns over 99 and I send him to the rail. A while late im in the BB and a short stack moves all in I look down at A7 and call he flips over A2 and another one bits the dust
Im sitting on about 88k at dinner break and i have been in the top 10-20 chip leaders all day
a few hours later my table breaks again and Im seated at table 2 seat 7 and I have to see and wait for a hand at one point im siting on 113.5k when I pick up JJ utg and call a raise 3 player see the flop which comes 7 9 10 i check to the raiser and he checks the sb ( the girl that made the final table) bets out 5600 and i think for a bit and reraise to 13800 she folds and im im back crusing again. However I slip down to about 65k a while later and a guy who like to make big preflop rasies makes it 14k the next guy moves in for 45k and I reshove for 65k the first guy folds and the other guy turns AJ v my AK the flop come low with 3 clubs turn a and the river another he has the A and I have the K SICK! im all in next hand with 10's and get called my AK BUT i double up yessss. I chip up to 65k again soon after the double up, after another break when I shove KJ without a caller then again with 77 then on the next hand I have 88 and the big preflop raiser make it 26k with blinds at 2500/5000 I say to him you like to make them big dont you and I move in I see he dosent like it as he counts his chips I cover him by 2k and he calls and two my shock he turns over J10o the flop comes 2 A K turn Q SICK im all in next hand for my last 2k and get knocked out in 148th place 20 minutes before the end of the day out of 1148 runners 135 get paid
Im still in shock he plays J10o like that and calls of his whole tourney with it and ends mine after ive played so well all day, if I win with AK and those 8's I think I go into day 2 with about 250k and top five in chips but I guess thats just poker!
The rest of the weekend was just spent drinking with Marty Smyth, Jessie May, Nicky Power, Neil Channing and Padraic Parkinson. An unreal weekend and the IPO 2013 can't come quick enough I recommend it two everybody and hope to meet some of you PSers there next year.

I think I played well although just hanging in waiting for a hand. Then I got it, funny thing is it was against Sabo999 from the forum here
I was BB with J9o and the Button (sabo999) raised to 4.6k if i remember correctly and the blinds were 1200/2400 I think this was a mistake by him as he didn't realise the blinds had gone up but I call and and so did the CO
the flop came 9 high with two spades I checked, the CO bet out 3.6k, Sabo999 thought for a minute asking me how much I had left behind then just called
I then shoved 21k after thinking I was way ahead as I didnt think Sabo999 would just call with a bigger pair here the Co folded and then Sabo999 tanked for another minute and called with AK. My pair of 9's held up and I won a big pot

£30 fo on Friday night
I finished 3rd lifting £70 and collected 8 league points, i am still a few points of the top 16 with just 4 weeks left to play, pity I missed a few weeks! but i can still make it too the final with a top 3 finish any any of the last 4 games i think.
I busted in the sb with 9 10 Really i should have just shoved
the flop came J high and it checked round when the turn came an 8 I shoved 90k and the button called having just made an 8 high straight, and a K hit the river. Happy enough with how I played, hands were few and far between but I made the most out of my big hands.

Last Friday night saw the annual Christmas poker game at a local football club. It was a £45 + £5 FO with 48 runners which saw a healthly prize pool build up.
I started of well just playing good hands raising pre flop and C bets were taking the pot down even when I missed. I flopped two sets in row and couldn't get paid off, I just thought it was going to be one of those nights. Even though I was playing well the pots I was winning were small as it was early in the tourney, but I knew it would only be a matter of time before I got myself into a big pot, I just hoped I would be the one raking in the chips.
So the hand finally came half way through the 4th level, I looked down at JJ in the BB and my good friend Sabo999 who had recently been moved to my table was UTG. The blinds were 300/600 and Sabo999 raised to 1200, it folded round to me and I 3bet to 3800, Sabo called.
The flop comes down 8 5 4 rainbow and I think "GREAT FLOP" and lead out for 5k. Sabo999 asks how much I have behind which is about 18k. Sabo goes all in and has me covered I snap call and he turns 99 which im very happy to see, as when the flop came down I was hoping he had a hand like 99 or 1010 because I knew the money could go all in here.
The turn comes an Ace and the river BINKS a 9 to give him game, set and match to my dismay!
Aww well thats just poker I suppose and with him being a good friend of mine I was hoping he would go on to take it down, well either him or my girlfriend who was also playing. They both made the final table of 9 and made the top 7 to gtd a cash when they all agreed to do a double bubble.
The prizes where then as follows:
1st £1000
2nd £500
3rd £250
4th £150
5th £100
6th £80
7th £50
My girlfriend finished 7th after getting her short stack in with A6s against sabo999's QQ who then when on to play heads up. however it was getting late and as the chips when back and fourth they decided they would both take £700 and play for the extra £100 about 10 hands later it was over and Sabo999 came out the winner.
Im sure when Sabo999 sees this post he won't mind adding his own little bit about how he took the tourney down and his thinking in the hand vs me with his 99 which if not for a bit of luck going his way this post could be about how I TOOK THE CHRISTMAS POKER GAME DOWN!
