JB challenge is on hold.

Got it in yesterday for a £500 ($803) pot with AA pre, when the board ran out xJ98x and the guy said he won, I could only put him on JJ, when he flipped over 98o I felt a little bit of sadness.. how did he get £250 ($401) in pre with 89o ? but hey.. Long term ATM

Still ended the night only £150 down.. ($240)

Go on then people.. discuss..

Poker Stars, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

Hero (BTN): $117.96 (235.9 bb)
SB: $237.80 (475.6 bb)
BB: $163.45 (326.9 bb)
UTG: $51 (102 bb)
MP: $50 (100 bb)
CO: $19.68 (39.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with K A
UTG folds, MP raises to $1.50, CO raises to $4.50, Hero calls $4.50, 2 folds, MP raises to $13.50, CO raises to $19.68 and is all-in, Hero ?

My thoughts

Spoiler

Im just flatting here, I dont really like a 4bet imo, but its not 'wrong/right' just my matter of how I wanted to play this hand, against a short stack, Im getting it all in on the flop anyway, and Vs the other guy Its 3 way and will easily be able to get it in on the turn, so I think a flat is okay if the I think MP is going to flat allot of the time.. and I have position

When the MP then reraises, and the CO reshoves, Now Im not worried about the CO short stack, Im almost certain that Im just crushing him most of the time, but with the MP I'm flipping, to redo this, where Im going to reshove on him allot, This isnt going to be a bluff, I put him on TT+, and maybe some AK hands which we just end up splitting the side pot.. so at best this is going to be a flip, I also dont think by reshoving he is ever going to fold.. And I really don't like the call, as If a A,K doesnt come down on the board then its going to be a horrible decision for my on further streets.

So If Im to put him on that its a fold right?

Thoughts from some sicko heads :)

On a side note, I don't think I have all my outs either, the short stack is doing this with AT+ imo, (and ofc some random PPs) therefore one of my A for against the MP Is ok, making me have less equity. I think If I was to hit A, K I was good though, but -1 Ace in that packet imo.

Spoiler

       Equity     Win     Tie
MP2    42.87%  30.56%  12.31% { AKo }
MP3    57.13%  44.82%  12.31% { TT+, AQs+, AKo }

Got in a pretty sick hand yesterday, Me, Poker Pro (friend), 2 complete gamblers, 1 ok player.

Poker Pro, 1 gambler and 1 ok player all down between £200-£400.

Me + other gambler are probably up.. £250~ and £300~ ish

Straddles, restraddles almost every thing time, sometimes re-re-straddles..

Everyone is huge stacked, and we're only 5 handed, been playing for about... 8hours by this point.

they are limping almost anything.. I just made a pretty decent fold with KTs when board came rag rag T, and guy bets into me.. just from the way pre, I fold.. he flips AA.

few hands later, I get J3o from the BTN.. 3 limp in.. I decide to limp in, I want the Poker Pro to repop so I can raise here, A bit of leveling going on.. and really its a dog shit hand, but Im miles in front of people.. Dynamic people :)

Pro pops to £15.. all fold.. I repop to £45.. its such a good steal spot that that exactly what I wanted him todo for a resteal. He flat calls.

Flop comes J53r

I decide to lead out for about £55.. Pretty small bet.. but Im shoving the turn and want him to try steal/call with A high, or a worse J..

He flats..

Turn comes a Q..

I decide to donk out here, as it shows less strength and that Im just trying to barrel him of that hand.. I just shove all in, I have him covered and he tanks for awhile.. Ends up folding, and says he had 99 and the Q saved him..

was probably one of the last hands of the night, and was pretty fun to be involved in a hand where actual poker was played.

EDIT:

To Prove I do Play :)

In some way, life itself is like this.
A close friend of mine just lost his wife of 44 yrs to cancer. From diagnosis she held on only 3 weeks. Nobody saw it coming.

I've been looking at everything totally differently for the last couple of weeks.

All the best,

Sorry to hear that, I think you should always live your life to the fullest, and do what you love.. Its why allot of us are playing poker and not grinding out 9-5s.. hopefully the new outlook is a good one.
