Tnx for your positive comments. We micro players have many leaks but more often we are mentally not prepared and we play out B and C game instead of out best game. Working and improving in every aspect of our game should be priority.

Coming back all the time but can't seem to surpass 1/4 pro "mark". Always grinding micros in every game I choose. Will update this blog more often and hopefully this will help me take a step further. Glad to hear you're doing great

Analyzing hands and posting to hand evaluation forum seems to pay off. This practice to post hands after session is very effective. Only problem is that it takes quite some time but there is no reward without decent work.

Villain is unknown.
My play seems super weak. But after taking my time and thinking about the hand and his range I decided to fold and now I'm really proud of it.
His range is AK, AQ, AJ, A6, 33, 66, A3. This is all value range. Searching for his bluffing range I wasn't successful, he certainly isn't doing this with KK, QQ or worse Ax. What's really weird is that 63, J6 and J3 are definitely not in his range. I was very confused but after thinking it over I went for a fold. Tricky question is what would I do with AK? His range is the same and we beat only AQ...this means I should still fold it with TPTK. Wait the minute?! Dokkey folding TPTK??? No way!

Have been climbing up slowly but surely...

I've been out for few days due to injury. After long time without big injuries I sprained my ankle quite bad. I was like all evening but since it didn't help me I chose another option - ice and bandage. ♦

I had lots of time to think because I was resting and not doing much since I had to hold my leg up. While thinking about it I came to conclusion it was my fault for getting injured. Thing was there was 10 minutes before end of the game and I was thinking whether to go out or play until the end.

If your mind starts to drift away from the thing you're doing that ALWAYS results in something bad, directly or indirectly. Therefore being focused while doing anything is a must.

So after minute or two I was playing pick and roll and I was already going by defensive player and wanted to pass the ball to a player coming from a screen. I made a mistake by holding the ball before seeing my teammate stepping forward. So I saw that he's not there so I jumped in the air not to do the travelling but while in air I couldn't see any good pass options so I kinda gave up in the air. Result was losing the ball but more importantly my legs were flabby so when landing I rolled my ankle on defensive player and since I wasn't in the game and fully concentrated it rolled all the way because when you don't expect something it punches you with bigger power than it would otherwise.

From every situation we can learn something and also from this I can pull some conclusions - BE FOCUSED AT EVERYTHING YOU DO.

Poker wise it's been going bad since I didn't play for two days and then I thought it's going to be the same as it was but at the same time I was rushing things, overplaying my hands, doing some hero calls,...etc. I'm coming back slowly though so it's all good.

First hand he could be doing some spazzy shove with Ax/Jxcc with the flush draw out there, I'd expect his value range to just x/c and then raise you a little on the river, but that said I'd still feel really uncomfortable calling him because I know some weird players will shove their value hands like this. Probably a good fold tbh

Everybody thinks about interesting hands that would like to see ...when first player raises, next reraises, next flats and you on BU are smiling with AA...but you still have to play it out.

I was looking the action and I was thinking to 3b BU to $2,70...then SB calls...have to go higher...BB calls...wiii ♦...and I bet... WHAT????? Is that $4,70? WTF man?!

Out of last 11 sessions I have 6 losing ones (-3BI, -3,5 BI, -2BI, others under 1BI) and 5 winning ones. More than BR it's hurting me because I'm playing really badly and can't find my A game.

My ankle is getting better though...have to stay positive

In the last few days I've been putting some serious volume. This months is record volume wise since I played 47k hands

Wasn't playing my A game all the time but running above EV helps a bit. Yesterday I realized something very important. I've been playing only when feeling super good or confident. That's an ideal scenario but in real life people do things every day, some days they're really enjoying it some other not so much but bottom line - they do it anyway. That's the key for putting more volume which is essential for me. That means I have improve my B game and play also when not feeling super great and enjoying it 100%.

Posting hands helps me alot and hand judges are helping me understand difficult spots. Also added BogdanPS on skype and I've been bugging him since then ♦

Adopting the pro mindset, I see. That's the right way to think, just keep at it ♠_thumbsup:

The month started pretty awful but instead of analyzing my game my thinking process was "it has to turn around"...after being 20BI down I said to myself it's enough of this nonsense.

So after watching Bogdan's videos about variance and planning of going to higher limits I made the plan. Initial plan was to play 18,4k hands in a month but since I surpassed it by almost 2,5x I'm very satisfied. Only minus is I'm playing speed tables without hud so my decisions could be better if I had more info about my opponents.

All in all it was a good month...

+ $160 bonuses + $67 on other sites...not bad at all having in mind how the month started.

Also I achieved Platinum status for the first time and also got my first gemstone ever (probably won't be able to keep it but still).

Goals for February:

1. Play 40k hands
(25 days x 1600 hands)

2. Read at least 10 articles and make notes about important things

3. Regularly analyze and post hands to evaluation forum (minimum = 60 hands)

4. Watch 3-5 videos with suitable content.

5. Don't look at $$$ - that only hurts your game!

In Jan I was sitting out when having 150bb on the table. Then I was watching some videos and they said it's better to play deepstack since people do bigger mistake - unfortunately I'm the one doing them. So after day or two off I'm applying the same tactic again - NO MORE FUCKING DEEPSTACK!!!

I can't beat NL10. How frustrating is that? I'm not capable of playing ABC poker and beating this micro limit. I know I'm putting too much volume (for my standards) and that definitely influences my level of play but cmon not beating NL10 is so humiliating.

Reading about preflop play, 3b range, playing with equilab with different 3b/4b ranges, watching ton of videos how speed micro tables are played, thinking about it, posting hands,...and still can't beat NL10. And it's not variance just me being stupid and making fucking retarded moves

Probably not systematic and want to do too much in very short time.

Played nl20 normal tables but cant wrap my head around speed yet :f_confused:. So donking around nl5/nl10 speed atm.

edit: There's another guy as well Zumpar (I think I got it right) playing nl20 speed. I added him on skype too but he's got an exam this week. So maybe when he's free we can make a mini speed skype group? I'll ask him too if he's interested

I'm definitely in Small groups can definitely be very beneficial so I think creating this kind of group can only have positive results.

Had first sweat session with holmeboy today. Nothing spectacular happened (ok, I didn't lose a stack that's worth mentioning ♦) but I have a feeling we could cooperate very well in the future. Hopefully we will motivate one another and improve our leaks as soon as possible.

At times like this I always remember Gerovit's answer when I told him about my 15BI swing, he said: "I had 120BI under EV run and that's poker...

I do think I have solid preflop basics (most people think the same). I'm quite harsh to myself and don't accept anything lightly. So in this spot I don't think variance did this but my bad play definitely did. I just have to improve my B game and try to play A game more often.

Where I do have big problems is my mental preparation. I'm not good at recognizing when I shouldn't play anymore and when playing more would bring me only bad results and bad feelings. I realize that after analyzing the session but next time when bad wave comes it's like deja vu and I can't seem to stop it. Reading more psychology related articles and thinking more about it and applying proper techniques would definitely be +EV.

Yeah hehe I think ZOOM is the problem for you. I read a lot of tilt problems what I have the same acctualy. But ZOOM is to addicted to stop.... So I just keep grinding a lot of hands. Try to find a moment I don't tilt so much anymore.

It was a roller-coaster month. More than all mentally. I'm really happy I was able to gather myself and pull it out in the end.

Two days ago I played 1k freeroll and got to another final table (it sounds so pro ) but in the end I ended 8th for $32.

FAILED. Wasn't systematic about this segment. But definitely read less than 10 articles.

FAILED. Started very good but after second downswing I just stopped posting. Will have to work on that!

If I stay until the end of month on NL10 number of hands will be the main goal. If I however get on the heater and start playing NL20 the main goal for this month will be time spend at the tables = 62,5h .

2. Work on 3B by watching videos and reading articles. Write at least 5 pages summary about 3B tendencies/ ranges/ facts that need to be taken into consideration.

3. Post 100 hands in hand evaluation forum. I have to work on this because it helps me a lot.

4. Updating every third day - 10 posts in March.

This month I have to be more organized. Throwing away my time here and there is not productive. Instead I will make a schedule so I spend "only" 4h per day for poker but this time has to be used highly rationally.
